North Carolina Rental-Purchase Agreement Act N.C. Gen. Stat. §§ 25A-43 to 25A-53

Disclosure requirements Must disclose total number and amount of payments, total cost, cash price, payment schedule, and early purchase option.

Early buyout rights Consumer may purchase the property at any time by paying 60% of the remaining periodic payments plus any past-due amounts.

Repossession rules Must provide at least 3 days written notice of default. May not use force or threats. Consumer has right to cure.
