South Carolina Rental-Purchase Agreement Act S.C. Code Ann. §§ 37-18-101 to 37-18-112

Disclosure requirements Must disclose total payments, total cost, cash price, payment schedule, early purchase option, and the right to terminate the agreement at any time.

Early buyout rights Consumer may purchase the property at any time by paying 60% of the remaining periodic payments plus any past-due amounts.

Repossession rules Must provide at least 3 days written notice of default. May not use force, threats, or enter consumer premises without permission.
