Your privacy rights under CCPA/CPRA and state privacy laws

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information. Similar rights exist for residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah under their respective state privacy laws.

What Information Does VRTO Share?

VRTO is a rent-to-own store directory. When you submit a lead form, quote request, or contact form on our Site, your contact information (such as name, email, and phone number) is shared with local rent-to-own stores so they can respond to your inquiry. Under the CCPA, this sharing of personal information may constitute a "sale."

VRTO does not:

  • Sell your personal information to data brokers or advertisers.
  • Use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
  • Share your browsing activity with any third party for advertising purposes.

The only sharing that occurs is when you actively submit a form requesting to be connected with a local store.

How to Opt Out

If you would like to opt out of having your personal information shared with rent-to-own stores, you have the following options:

  • Do not submit lead forms: If you do not submit a quote request or contact form, your personal information will not be shared with any store.
  • Submit an opt-out request below: If you have previously submitted a form and would like your information to be deleted and not shared further, use the form below.
  • Email us: Send your request to [email protected] with the subject line "Do Not Sell — Opt Out."

Use the same email you used when submitting a form on our site.

We will verify your identity and process your request within 45 days as required by the CCPA. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

What Happens After You Submit

  1. We will verify your identity by confirming the email address you provide.
  2. If we have any pending lead data associated with your email, we will prevent it from being shared with stores.
  3. If your data has already been shared with a store, we will notify you which store(s) received it so you can contact them directly.
  4. We will confirm completion of your request via email within 45 days.
