Disclosure requirements Must disclose total number and amount of periodic payments, total cost of the rental-purchase agreement, cash price of the property, and a statement that the consumer will not own the property until all payments are made.

Early buyout rights Consumer may purchase the item at any time during the agreement by paying 60% of the remaining rental payments plus any past-due amounts.

Repossession rules Dealer may not use force or threats to repossess. Must provide written notice of default and allow a minimum reinstatement period before repossession.
