My wife and I had been searching everywhere for furniture for our new place for a couple of weeks. We've always believed in paying cash and avoiding financing, so we were hesitant to even consider Rent-A-Center. After striking out everywhere else, we decided to give it a look online. Within seconds of browsing, we found several pieces we loved. We then spoke with Stephanie, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Stephanie was patient, professional, and genuinely interested in helping us find exactly what we wanted. She asked detailed questions about our style, budget, and preferences, and even told us she didn't want to send us pictures of furniture that didn't match what we were looking for. That level of honesty and respect meant a lot. Within about 15 minutes, we had picked out our brand-new couches. The entire process was transparent, stress-free, and centered around what my wife and I wanted. We never felt pressured. Instead, Stephanie made us feel like we were in complete control of every decision. My wife specifically mentioned how impressed she was with Stephanie's tone, professionalism, and work ethic. It's rare to receive customer service that truly puts the customer first, and Stephanie did exactly that. Thank you, Stephanie, for your hard work, honesty, professionalism, and for making this such a positive experience. We truly appreciate everything you did for us. Keep up the amazing work!

I’ve now had this happen TWICE, and it’s beyond frustrating. I removed myself from AutoPay and even removed my card from my account, yet somehow Rent-A-Center re-enrolled me and still charged my bank account anyway. The latest charge hit when I specifically said I would pay later—even if it meant paying late fees. Instead, they took $37 without my consent and put me in a position where I had to scramble on my day off just to fix my account. But what makes this even worse is the constant calling. They will call back-to-back-to-back, to the point where it becomes harassment. I drive for Lyft full time, and when I have passengers in my car, their repeated calls interfere with my ability to safely use my GPS and complete rides. I have clearly and respectfully explained multiple times that: The excessive calling is causing me anxiety It interferes with my work and passenger safety I need them to stop calling me in that manner And despite that, the calls continue. At this point, this doesn’t feel like a mistake—it feels like a serious system issue and a lack of respect for customers. I’ve now recorded myself. Whats more frustrating is i have been a faithful paying customer and rarely allow my account to go past 3 days and have no issue calling myself to stay in contact and transparent about all payments being made, im removing AutoPay AGAIN because I no longer trust that my account settings will stay as I set them. If you’re a customer, I strongly recommend: Double-checking your AutoPay settings Removing your payment information completely Monitoring your bank account closely No one should have to deal with unauthorized charges AND repeated calls like this.

I'm writing this review and have left the same review on other review sites like TrustPilot and others. On today's date of 12:11 2025 I was contacted by the Rent-A-Center store on 19th avenue and Glendale in Phoenix. I have been a loyal customer of this location for a better part of 4 years All my furniture is paid off and has been paid off with the exception of a bookshelf. This new management and it's employee team needs some training on customer service empathy and willingness to work with their customers. I have been contacted so much regarding payment which I fully understand and obviously have never had an issue taking care of my account. But the gentleman that continuously calls me is rude he's disrespectful and has no customer service skills whatsoever. The last time he contacted me I informed him that unfortunately our family lost our mother just a couple days ago and that he could contact me on Friday 12:11 2025 in hopes that we can update my account. However, I didn't realize that my family had made the burial arrangements for our mother on that day at the time that he contacted me we were in the middle of the burial services and he could have cared less I expressed to him that moving forward I would appreciate all phone calls or text messages come from the manager. The voicemail message that's the same employee has left was beyond rude and disrespectful and treating me as if I was a deadbeat customer that was trying to get out of not finishing paying off for a bookshelf that has minimal balance left. And I'm going to go on record saying this the previous manager Danielle and her team were phenomenal I never had an issue she made everybody feel welcome and as if they were family her movers were phenomenal The entire team just was great and it's why I stayed with that location and Rent-A-Center for 4 years but this new management and its employee team need an overhaul on so many levels. I've been in a supervisor and management position for 15 years and this is not how you treat your loyal customers or customers just in general. Some individuals are going to have good experiences and others like myself have been mistreated beyond what a loyal customer should be treated. I do not recommend this location for any of my friends or other family members because of the way that I've been treated now not all future customers or current customers may not receive that treatment however I have and I'm just absolutely disgusted and shaken by the fact that during a burial I was receiving continuous phone calls from this location about a very small remaining balance that could have waited. Anyone looking at my account would see that there's never been an issue with my account although all of a sudden when this management team took over now my payments are higher weekly when they were the same payment that I've had this entire time and now it's gone up ranging from a payment of $16.26 to $24.99 to $36.99 like this is insane and when I questioned it it turned into well we had to go over all the ledgers because they were incorrect there's actually no way all the customers ledgers were incorrect because Danielle ran that store beautifully when she was the manager and I never saw one negative review or complaint about her or her team. I hope the owners take serious note of this review because for someone like myself to be treated in this manner I'm almost on the verge of taking legal action against Rent-A-Center for the payment hike to the way that they treat their customers.
