VRTO organizes rent-to-own store information into a national directory. Listing details can change, so important information should be confirmed directly with the retailer.
Data Sources
Our store data comes from publicly available business information and retailer-supplied data when available:
- Retailer sources — Official store locators, websites, and retailer-supplied data when available
- Public business sources — Business listings used for addresses, phone numbers, hours, and map locations
- User reports — Community feedback submitted through our "Report Incorrect Information" feature
Update Frequency
Listings are updated when source data is refreshed or a correction is reviewed. VRTO does not promise a fixed update interval.
Where an update date is available, it describes the listing data update rather than guaranteeing that every retailer detail was confirmed on that date.
How we collect and update data
Our data-quality process includes:
- Normalization — Available names, addresses, phone numbers, hours, and locations are organized into a consistent format
- Source review — Conflicting source details can be held for review rather than presented as confirmed
- User feedback — Reports of incorrect information are queued for review
Content Standards
VRTO produces educational content about rent-to-own options. Our content standards include:
- Factual claims should link to or name their source when a source is available
- Educational content is general information, not legal or financial advice
- We do not endorse any specific retailer
What We Don't Do
- We do not fabricate or estimate store data — if we haven't confirmed a detail, we say so
- We do not accept payment from retailers to influence listings or rankings
- We do not claim affiliation with any rent-to-own retailer
