Very courteous people, willing to work with you! Very helpful indeed, for our situation! Thankyou
Good office. Good people, the lady is a bit rude, doesn't seem to have the best attitude and level of patience. Good people nonetheless and fair. Business is Business.
Deceptive and Predatory Practices — Very Disappointed I rented a sectional from this location with the plan to pay the same-as-cash price (about $1,700). Within just two weeks, Rent-A-Center advertised a 50% off sale that included same-as-cash. Since exchanges are a feature they promote, I called to swap the item for something I liked better. Although the items I asked about showed “in stock” online, I was told three separate times that they weren’t available. I was never offered any alternatives, and no one suggested what was in stock. By the time the one-week sale ended, I had lost the opportunity to save nearly $900. To me, this wasn’t just poor service — it felt like a deliberate tactic to block me from using the sale, which is both deceptive and shameful. Rent-A-Center markets heavily to people with limited resources, and this kind of behavior feels very similar to predatory lending practices. I am returning the sectional and taking my business elsewhere because I will not do business with companies that engage in tactics like this. Customers deserve honesty, fairness, and respect. I hope this company reconsiders how it treats loyal customers and takes steps to make situations like mine right. Thank you for replying, but this does not address the issue. I followed Rent-A-Center’s advertised exchange process during the 50% off same-as-cash sale and was blocked from saving nearly $900. A generic phone number doesn’t fix that. If Rent-A-Center is serious about making this right, the solution is simple: honor the 50% off same-as-cash pricing that was advertised.
So first of all I fill out the application online, and they call me to tell me that if I come in the store I'm going to need to put $160 down to walk out with the laptop, so I think okay that's not bad considering it's a $1,500 laptop. I go on the website a few days later, and get everything set up ready to pay, and it takes my $1 then I'm like well let me go ahead, and pay another 2 weeks out, and it's only $77, so I feel like they were trying to rip me off money wise first off. Secondly he also stated that it was brand new in the box. I told him that I was on the way to get it, and when I got there it wasn't in the box it was the display model, and I know this because when I got it home it said it had problems RESTARTING, so they wiped what was already on there, and just handed it to someone else which is fine, but TELL someone the truth, and to further check my suspicion I did the self test on it, and you can see in the lower left corner that it's not true black down there. Some of the display light is shining through like the person before me grabbed it right there to carry it at some point. Other than ALL of that it runs fine, so that's why they got 2 stars instead of 1
I absolutely love this store in Clarksville - their team, their management are TOP NOTCH! Even when they had to be a few minutes late to delivery (just to ensure another customer was taken care of 110%) - they are ALWAYS going the extra mile. When I first came to Nashville, after surviving an abusive marriage that almost cost me my life, RAC (This specific store and manager) were the only ones to rent a laptop I paid off and allowed me to build the 4 businesses I have today. I will gladly pay any interest rate for a team of people who care about other people as much as my business does!!!
