Was told I had a $2,500 credit line, can only rent one thing, though. We have lived in our home for 26 years, own it, but the electric bill is in husband's name. Since I don't rent, I was told to bring the title to the property there. Who keeps that laying around? Other things that I could use to prove who I am, because Tn. Driver's license isn't good enough, I really don't live there unless it's electric bill. I was told to bring a car insurance bill , brought a Progressive bill in, that didn't show anything, even though it was 3 years old . I don't live here unless the electric is in my name, in rent a center's eyes. Walked out, without anything, all I wanted was a PlayStation and tv.

Ricky at RAC is amazing! However I have no clue what is going on with other employees there. They need to restaff the entire place (except Ricky). They I see now have tried charging me for a payment that wasn’t even due! Every other week not a difficult schedule. I miss the old employees with actual respect and manners.

Ricky is absolutely amazing!!!! He helped us with everything we needed and he corrected the issues that another location caused! Will definitely recommend requesting him any time you go to purchase anything from rent a center.

Overall I love the fact that I can rent to own things. But customer service at some locations is a need. I have been with Rent-A-Center for a long time and I had hit an unfortunate spot one week and asked for a week extension to get told if I didn’t pay in a couple days they would have to have everything back. I have never missed any payments and I think it is wrong to act in such a manner, especially to a loyal and on time paying customer.

If I could give 0 stars I would. So here’s how it started. I found appliances online, was communicating with Rickey via text about them. He called I paid $10 down and was suppose to be set up on bi-weekly payments. Well I was sent a contract in Spanish. A language I do not speak. Let the store know and they resent it again. 5 times. All in Spanish. I have no idea what payments are going to be. Was told it was 2K out the door! And it definitely is not! I was told I had to call customer service to get my contract fixed bc they didn’t know how to fix it. Called the customer service phone number. Was told there was no payment due until this got straightened out. Here it is I’ve had appliances for a week now have no contract and I got a text that my payment was due from CHAD. I called the store explained what I was told by the customer service person and he basically told me nothing is going to change with my contract. That they can retype it and that’s it. Price will not be changed or nothing even though I have all texts showing what was told to me. Then I get a call Saturday afternoon from CHAD who leaves me a message saying he’s not going to redo my contract unless I pay my first payment. This whole thing is a HUGE mess. CHAD is rude as l get out. I have not received a call back from customer service either. But since when is 1 week payments biweekly?! And why am I having to pay BEFORE having a contract. Or having someone tell me the pay schedule payment amounts or the price of it? Take it from me DO NOT DEAL WITH RICKEY OR CHAD! Save yourself and don’t deal with this location! Horrible people and no customer service skills.
I ordered an item online and had been communicating via text. I paid the first week and was then told I needed to call in to verify a few things. I did. The person I spoke with said all I had left to do was call today and give my card number for autopay. He was very nice. I then had someone text me today and tell me they had my item but that I needed to finish up on the phone. I was then asked questions that was none of their business but whatever. Then told me that they hadn’t verified anything rudely, so I got my text out and read them the texts so then he said oh yeah we’re good. So how we went from the last thing I had to do was my card to having to do it all again beats me. I was told I would receive a call back giving me a yes or no. So why would you tell someone hey we have your item we just need to set you up for auto pay to now oh we don’t know is extremely unprofessional. Johnathan should be above Chad so hopefully he is. I literally had to text them asking for a refund to which they told me they did and they DID NOT. DO NOT give them your business if you have to work with Chad. Every person deserves to be treated kindly, Chad does not belong in customer service.
