I am UPDATING my review because the same behavior continues despite my asking multiple times for it to stop! I understand that Rent-A-Center has the right to contact customers regarding past due payments, and I take responsibility when I miss a payment. However, there is a significant difference between making reasonable collection attempts and repeatedly contacting someone after they have already acknowledged the payment and requested that the calls stop. Over the past month, I have continued to receive repeated back to back phone calls, including calls from different phone numbers after I blocked previous numbers, due to harassment. I have also experienced employees talking over me, pressuring me to make a payment immediately while I was on the phone after explaining I will do it when it’s convenient for me that day and displaying what I believe to be unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. I specifically asked Marcus on multiple occasions to stop repeatedly calling me because this type of communication is extremely distressing for me. I also informed him that this behavior triggers my mental health conditions. Despite those requests, the calls have continued. During one conversation, I was also told that the police could be contacted because my payment was past due, which I found unnecessary and intimidating. I have tried to communicate respectfully and explain my concerns, but I do not feel they have been taken seriously. This experience has left me feeling harassed rather than assisted as a customer. Because of these repeated interactions, I will be ending my contract, returning the furniture, and ending my business relationship with Rent-A-Center altogether. When a customer repeatedly asks for the calls to stop after acknowledging the payment and communicating with your staff, those concerns should be respected. No customer should feel pressured or repeatedly contacted after clearly communicating with your employees. I hope management reviews both its collection practices and the professionalism of its staff. Based on my experience, it is easy to understand why this location has such a low rating. I expected to be treated with respect, even if my account was past due. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I had an extremely unprofessional and stressful experience with Rent-A-Center. I was less than 5 days late on a payment and immediately started receiving excessive calls from multiple different phone numbers and area codes. Today, employees came to my home banging aggressively on my door while simultaneously calling my phone repeatedly. I was in the shower at the time, and the banging was so excessive that it woke my child up. I answered and explained that I had simply forgotten to make the payment and would take care of it as soon as I got out of the shower, but instead of giving me a moment, the calls and banging continued. The situation became unnecessarily hostile and overwhelming. After everything, they even asked if police needed to be involved because I asked them to properly schedule any pickup, especially considering they previously delayed my delivery for over a week after already accepting payment. The level of harassment and lack of professionalism was completely unacceptable and negatively affected both me and my child. I made the payment immediately after, but the issue was never about refusing to pay. .It was the aggressive behavior and complete disregard for boundaries. At this point, I would rather return the furniture than continue dealing with this kind of treatment, and I will most definitely schedule the pick up when the time is appropriate for me like I said. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION. MARCUS AND HIS ASSISTANT.

The sales manager was very professional and help from the beginning to the end

The one on Bragg boulevard the people that are a lot more nicer then the manager and Hope Mills I still don't understand why the credit I do have take song from the whole amount instead of the cash value of it but I got a new washing machine me and my brother needed I would recommend a store to everybody definitely do not go to the one in Hope Mills the one on Bragg boulevard is 100% trustworthy Anaheim a washing machine out in 3 days delivered it was very nice courteous and polite

My delivered was poorly also they told me that my tv couldn’t be mounted on the wall so I was obliged to buy a tv stand more money to spend than they had to take my tv back because it couldn’t be mounted to the wall 😭What I hustle, didn’t like it at all. Please don’t take advantage of people like this. This is wrong. I gave Rent-A-Center one star if that.

They came onto our property and ran over our dog crate that we bought recently. Instead of stopping to apologize or even see what they ran over they drove off. We and our neighbor watched as the driver paused realizing somthing was hit. I had to call multiple times to try and get my crate replaced and they opted to go with somthing used and cheap after we paid $80 new recently for ours. I can assure we won't be using this branch again once our items are paid. There was absolutely NO reason for the driver to be making his u turn through the front yard to begin with
