Disclosure requirements Must disclose total payments, total cost, cash price, whether property is new or used, payment schedule, early purchase option, and reinstatement rights.

Payment cap protections Total cost of the rental-purchase agreement may not exceed 2.0 times the cash price of the property (200% cap).

Early buyout rights Consumer may purchase the property at any time by paying 50% of the remaining periodic payments plus any past-due amounts.

Repossession rules Must provide at least 5 days written notice before repossession. May not use force, threats, or unlawful entry.
