Avoid the Whitehall location at all costs. I have never felt so judged, discriminated against, and disrespected in my life. I was approved online for a dining table and a washer/dryer set. When I walked in, the employee immediately changed the rules, claiming I could only get one item and that my approval amount was lower than what the system explicitly stated. ​Because I am an independent subcontractor and business owner making over $50K a month, I provided massive documentation: my ID, SSN, state business certificate, business bank statements, check copies, and ATM receipts. Instead of processing my order, they treated me with intense suspicion. They demanded invasive screenshots of my personal bank app interface to "prove it was mine," completely ignoring my official state documents. ​It crossed the line into harassment when they called my father, who was listed strictly as a personal reference. Instead of asking basic reference questions, they grilled him about whether he "knew the person writing my business checks"—which is completely out of line for a commercial subcontractor receiving payments from contractors. To make it worse, they lied to my father and claimed I wasn't answering my phone, when I have full call logs proving I answered every single time they reached out. ​The truth came out when I finally got fed up, told them I was reporting them, and went to a different location. The staff at the second location were incredibly sweet and confirmed that Whitehall was demanding an astronomical, "really weird" amount of information. The new location immediately approved me for BOTH the table and the washer/dryer, verifying exactly what I had tried to tell the Whitehall lady: the approval amount covers the items before the total price. ​The Whitehall staff profiled me the second I walked in because I was wearing pajamas and a headband. Mind you, I am pregnant and have been dealing with non-stop morning sickness, so I wore what was comfortable. They saw how I was dressed, decided a young woman couldn't possibly run a successful business making that kind of money, and actively tried to sabotage my approval. ​Terrible, biased, unprofessional management. I specifically chose to use a rent-to-own program to responsibly build up my credit, but the Whitehall staff made it an absolute nightmare. I really hope the district Manager Bob sees this and speaks to the staff and train them properly so no one else feels discriminated. I have proof of the emails ans how they told me to leave and would call me if everything checked out. Shout out to rent a center on Parsons! You guys rock!

Absolutely amazing crew and awesome deals.

We haven't had a problem until recently I got a new job so had to put payments on hold for a little over 2 weeks which we were great full for when we called to restart the payments they charged for bi weekly and said we moved it to biweekly no we were still doing weekly payments so thank you for royally screwing me and taking almost 90$ out of my account that I didnt have we will not be back after this appliance is paid off so steer clear they won't listen

I had a terrible experience with an employee named Trent. He was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the entire process. Despite me providing my own references and contact information, he went out of his way to look up my personal information online and even contacted my abuser instead of the numbers I gave him. This was not only invasive but also dangerous and completely unacceptable. When I tried to cancel my order, Trent gave me nothing but attitude over the phone and is now making me wait unnecessarily to complete the cancellation. This whole experience has left me feeling disrespected, unsafe, and frustrated. Rent-A-Center should not allow employees to mishandle customer information like this, and something needs to be done to prevent it from happening to anyone else. Edit- I tried calling the number given in the reply and just got someone as equally as rude. I just want my order canceled its not that difficult!!!!!! Now they ate saying I need to verify my identity for delivery when I want to cancel!!!!

One of your employees tried to break into my house while my child was home being babysat so yeah yall should fix that an not let people break into homes

Trent is awesome he should be the manager,Raphael is very rude, I have had no washer for 3 weeks and he will not approve a month free really! Do not purchase from this location,he won't even put Trent on the phone he said he was the manager and would take care of things. Also,charged my card twice and bounced my bank account with no apologies. I have bought alot from this location never again. Customer service has went to crap!
