I purchased my shed 4/18/26 My experience with Hometown Sheds in Lillington, NC was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this company. I worked directly with Carly, and from start to finish the process was unprofessional, disorganized, and marked by poor communication. Although I offered to schedule our appointment on a weekday, she insisted on meeting on a Saturday. She then arrived approximately 45 minutes late without providing updates despite my attempts to contact her. Upon arrival, she did not greet us and immediately entered the building, closing the door behind her. She also gave conflicting information regarding the appointment time and blamed a scheduling misunderstanding for her lateness. Throughout the purchasing process, important details were not clearly communicated, including payment information, interest rates, the required number of blocks for my building, and delivery expectations. When a delivery date was finally scheduled, I was told I would receive a call a few hours before delivery. Instead, the delivery was canceled only two hours before the expected arrival time, and no clear information was provided regarding a new delivery date. In addition to the lack of organization and communication, Carly consistently displayed a rude and dismissive attitude throughout the process. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because the delivery driver was professional and empathetic regarding the situation. The overall experience was so frustrating that I chose to pay off the building early simply to avoid having any further dealings with this company.

Chad was wonderful to work with. After placing our order for our custom shed, we decided to make some changes. He was able to make our shed just the way we wanted it. Chad was very personable, friendly and knowledgeable about his products. I highly recommend getting your shed from Hometown Sheds. It’s conveniently located and offers exceptional service and quality! Stop by and tell them I sent you!

I just purchased a storage unit. It was a great experience. Cindy Goble was wonderful. She made the process very simple. I definitely recommend this location.

I visited the site a week before purchasing a shed and spoke to the person onsite. I told him I had already decided on a specific shed on the lot and was ready to purchase. He informed me the person who handled sales was not in that week and I would have to come back the following week. When I returned, I learned the shed had been on clearance when I first visited but now was back at full price. When I told the sales representative I had actually come in the previous week she tried to get me the clearance price, but her supervisor would not allow it despite her best efforts. I paid for the shed in full that day at the regular price anyway. Delivery took six weeks after purchase and was postponed twice. I live only three miles from the lot. Good thing I didn’t need it right away. Carlie, the sales representative, was very nice, however, and did get us a veteran discount. That’s the only reason I gave two stars.

I had a very good experience at Hometown Sheds. From start to finish Brittany was patient with all my questions & did not rush me through the process of ordering. She is detailed, thorough and knowledgable about their products. A nice feature is seeing your shed being built on a computer screen. You can swap out features to see what the end product looks like. I visited one other place and the quality & service did not compare. My shed arrived in the timeframe she told me. I certainly recommend a visit to Hometown if you're in the market for a shed.

I needed a shed for my chick brooders and hatching setup, and I’m so glad I chose Hometown Sheds. Brittany was incredibly helpful and easy to work with while designing exactly what I needed. She made the whole process simple and stress-free. I highly recommend them and can’t wait for my shed to be finished!

I strongly recommend getting every detail in writing before moving forward with this company—or considering alternative providers altogether. Communication throughout my experience was poor, particularly from the office staff. During the initial process, I was told that the subcontracted mover would come out to assess the site, despite the fact that I had already provided photos, dimensions, and information regarding the grade of my land. This visit never occurred, which ultimately impacted placement decisions later on. Additionally, I was not informed that full payment was required prior to scheduling delivery. As a result, there was an unexpected delay of approximately one week. This was especially frustrating given that the transaction exceeded five figures and should have been handled with greater clarity and professionalism. The most concerning issue involved engineering support. I was initially told that engineering services could be provided if needed; however, this was never delivered. When it came time for installation, the subcontracted mover indicated the shed could be placed in my preferred location, but later provided several conflicting reasons for not doing so, including equipment limitations, access constraints, and safety concerns. These explanations were inconsistent and appeared to change after the fact. When I raised these concerns with the company, I was contacted by a staff member who escalated the issue to management. Unfortunately, I was informed that management sided with the subcontractor without speaking directly with me to understand the full situation. There were also issues during installation. The shed was dropped and sustained damage, and additional costs—such as setup, anchoring, and extra materials—were not clearly communicated upfront. Transparency around these charges would have been appreciated. In terms of product quality, the shed itself is acceptable, but there are some workmanship concerns, including nail heads not fully set and minor bending on the aluminum ramp hinge. Overall, this experience was disappointing due to lack of communication, unclear expectations, and inconsistent follow-through. I have already advised others in my neighborhood to carefully consider their options before choosing this company.

Mike was great! I stopped by on a chance that maybe these sheds would be built better than what I had been seeing advertised on FB. I have to say the quality of their buildings is excellent. Mike worked with me going through several different styles and changes…always professional and very helpful making sure I was able to get exactly what I wanted.

Today I visited Hometown Sheds of Conway To purchase a shed, I have to say that I was impressed with the professionalism and the hospitality that me and my wife experienced. The quality of service and the quality of their sheds was outstanding. We recommend Hometown sheds of Conway you will not be disappointed.

At first, I was so excited and thrilled with Mike & hometown sheds. However, once the shed was delivered, I realized there were several big miscommunications. They had to jack the shed up about 3’ off the ground to get it even. Instead of giving me time / instructions to get the location totally flat. It looks horribly unfinished & now I have to find someone to build custom steps for it & cover up the huge gaping holes from cinder blocks. The shed also didn’t come pre-wired, as we discussed & I was originally quoted. Then I trusted Mike & the quote to be accurate, only to find out I signed something that wasn’t accurate. Be sure to CHECK EVERYTHING on your contract before signing. They say one thing and do another. I learned the hard way and am in the hole even more. I do not recommend this company for your shed needs.

Wendy provided excellent customer service and answered all of our questions to our satisfaction. We purchased a 10 x 14 barn style shed customized to our liking. She went through all of the financing options and helped us to agree on one that suited our needs. Highly recommend!

Was told I had to order shed by Monday to get next Monday… the guy was then not available until Tuesday. Proceeds to try to talk me into another shed - I picked one out. It was apparently sold and he didn’t tell me and when I reached out he just texted me he was now on vacation and I had to reach out the next day to someone else. Why the heck they didn’t just call me right away??? So I prob can’t even get a shed when I need it now and I’m livid mad.
