We rented a fridge from them and first did monthly payments then my husband got laid off so got behind we tried working plan out with management at this location and ever since the beginning all of them have been super rude so it made us not want to talk to them bc we were 1 week behind at a time and they said we were tryin to steal the fridge etc. we switched to weekly payments a few months ago and have been staying on top of payments but if we were only a few days past due they would start showing up at our house non stop. Payments r due Saturday and I'm talking bout being paid on Wednesdays and they would still show up. We owe $200 on it then it's ours but today they decided to show up again and wouldn't work with us till this coming Friday and the rest when husband gets paid in 2 weeks bc we r behind on rent and have to pay landlord or could lose our home. The manager literally told my husband $200 today or we r taking it now. So we called customer service and they filed ticket for extension. Please go to another rent a center in town avoid this one at all costs. This is our 1st time ever renting something like this and it's been a horrible experience. The main manager won't take complaints on his management team he makes excuses for them. After this is paid off we will never rent from them again they ruined the whole experience for us. Their customer service call center is amazing people but something needs to be done bout this store and how they treat customers. --Tesla Rayfield
⭐ ONE STAR – HARASSMENT, PERIOD. Rent-A-Center harasses customers for payment. I was THREE DAYS from payday, which I had clearly told them multiple times, and they still showed up trying to repo items. They came in the middle of the day, then had the audacity to accuse me of “hiding” when I was at WORK like a normal adult. Then they tried to argue with me about it… as if they’re entitled to my time, location, or personal life. After that, they sent their “collector,” who gave me his phone to talk on and they proceeded to argue with me and demanding items back after I already told them to take it because it was the third month of dealing with their harassment! instead of acting professional or respectful, they wanted to continue to argue. 🙄 This company uses intimidation, harassment, and aggressive tactics instead of basic customer service. If you work, live paycheck to paycheck, or expect to be treated like a human being… avoid this place! Absolutely disgusting behavior.
Bait and switch tactics, they pressured me into getting a different item from their inventory than what I originally applied for and wanted, the store manager is very deceptive with their business tactics, and the overall quality of their inventory does not justify the pricing. I highly recommend Aarons in town or simply browsing online for a different store that offers LTO
