What you can rent here

Rent-A-Center is a national rent-to-own chain with 1,948 stores across all 50 states, reaching communities from Lawrence, Massachusetts and Kissimmee, Florida to Harlingen, Texas and Booneville, Mississippi. Launched in 1973 in Wichita, Kansas, it was the first national chain to scale the rent-to-own model, building standardized showrooms stocked with new, name-brand merchandise. Stores carry furniture, appliances, electronics, computers, mattresses, gaming, and smartphones on flexible weekly or monthly lease agreements, and like most rent-to-own stores they typically do not require a traditional credit check. Rent-A-Center holds a 4-star Google rating across more than 152,000 reviews. Compare Rent-A-Center on VRTO alongside other rent-to-own stores near you, with hours, ratings, and what each carries.

I have two Ashley manual recliners. One does not extend properly anymore. 6 months into purchase. So I called the store and they sent out two gentleman that tried to determine what the cause was. Long story short they determined it was normal wear and tear. Witch is absolute BS considering you would have to be an expert on manufacturing these products to determine cause of failure. So I decided to pay my account off and part ways since my customer service experience was the worst I received in years from anywhere. While paying my account off the manger made it seem like I got a deal witch was a lie. I paid the account balance for the early payoff amount while the manager tried to explain his profit for the month was gone now for his help lowering my balance. The only help they were willing to offer was to add a board to the recliner in hopes it would operate properly, in which I declined to let them. I called the other store to determine if the manager was lying to me about my payoff vs him helping me out. Lo and behold that representative refused to tell me my payoff prior to talking to the other store manager. These ppl take advantage of customers highly discourage using these people.

Can not say enough about this store and the people that work there. They have always been there when I needed them the most. Going above and beyond. Jeff (manager), JJ, and Bishop are like family. 7+ years and going strong. Hard to find a business that listens and cares.

I had a very disappointing experience with this Rent-A-Center location on Fort Campbell Blvd in Hopkinsville. I was renting a bedframe and mattress and called to ask a simple question: how much it would cost to return the bedframe but keep the mattress. I had to repeat my question three times, and the associate still responded with attitude, saying he couldn’t give me that information until I made a return first. That didn’t make sense, and his tone came across as rude and dismissive. At that point, I decided it would be easier to return the whole set rather than deal with multiple trips. The manager then got on the call, and instead of helping professionally, he also rushed me through the process with an attitude. Shortly after, the team came to pick up the items, and again the experience was unprofessional. One of the delivery men even suggested I needed to empty my own nightstands and dresser (which I own), and then implied he had to “check the tablet” as if I wasn’t being truthful about what belonged to me. There was no apology at any point for the poor customer service, the rude tone, or the confusion. This was my first time using a rent-to-own service, and it will definitely be my last. I’ve since purchased a beautiful bed and mattress outright for less money than I would have spent here. If you’re in a customer service role, professionalism and respect should be a priority. Unfortunately, that was completely missing from my experience at this location.

Delivery guys were great when they brought the stuff to my home, I don’t think they get enough credit for the work they do. However the manager isn’t willing to work with people when it comes to payments, I’ve done business with rent a center for years. Never again will I continue.
