Subject: Consistent Dishonesty, Account Manipulation, and Poor Management I am extremely disappointed with the service at this Aaron’s location, specifically regarding the manager, Maria. I have over 20 years of experience in customer service, and I have never encountered a manager so combative and willing to provide misleading information. The Issues: • Misleading Information: After a spine injury in April, I sought help with my payments in July. Maria signed me up for "Aaron’s Club," claiming it would cover my payments during recovery. I was later denied because I didn’t have the club at the time of the injury. Maria then claimed she told me this from the start and denied that I ever mentioned the April injury date—despite the fact that I showed her medical paperwork proving otherwise during our initial meeting. • Constant Contradictions: I was told to re-apply for benefits after my surgery and that I’d be approved. However, when I attempted to do so, Maria changed her story again, claiming it would be denied because it was the "same injury," contradicting her previous advice. • Hidden Fees & Poor Communication: I was told I could make a payment in two weeks to cover a slight delay due to a holiday deposit. Suddenly, a $88 payment jumped to nearly $200. Maria claimed there was a "16-day late fee" rule that was never previously disclosed. When I finally decided to return the couch due to this stress, she suddenly "found a way" to waive the fees—proving they were arbitrary. • Retaliatory Account Changes: Most alarmingly, after I ended our call today, I received an email stating I was 30+ days past due, even though my last payment was in December and my due date was the 2nd. It appears Maria manually altered my account status to make me further past due after our disagreement. This feels like a fraudulent use of her access to my account. Conclusion: Maria has a nasty attitude, is highly combative, and refuses to take accountability for her own communication errors. I am returning my furniture and will be reporting this entire experience to Corporate and the Better Business Bureau. Based on other reviews, it seems I am not the only one who has had these issues with this specific manager. Avoid this location if you value honesty and fair treatment.

Called a few days ago to set up a payment as our schedule changed with jobs, the lady I spoke with was an absolute nightmare! She refused to speak with me until my husband added me to the account. Fine he called and added me to the call so I could give her what she needed. Gave her my social and other info for her to never add me to the account! I called 2 days after to request a pick up as this left a bad taste with us. That’s when I found out I was not placed on said account???!!! So I had to call my husband again and 3 way again! We set a return and I would like a refund of our $200 as I bet that lady wrote my social down and is trying to steal my identity. Luckily I have a block on my stuff. This is unacceptable behavior from a company. They are supposed to pick up Friday, if they do not I’m throwing it in the street.
