Rent-A-Center

So today I witnessed an elderly man get a flat tire, he pulled into the Jack and the Box parking lot, then drove to Harbor Frieghts, I asked if he had a spare and if he needed help, he said yes, but that he was going to go into Harbor Frieghts and get a jack and ask if someone in there could help, (I dont think I could change it for him) so I told him I would go into the store and check with him when I got out. Upon coming out, about 10 to 15 minutes later I saw the jack he had purchased in a big box sitting in the basket next to his car, I figured he'd went back in the store for something so I moved my car next to his so his jack wouldn't come up missing, Upon pulling up next to him I saw him sitting there in his car, NOT running, (it was an older car so maybe the air didn't work) l asked if someone was coming to help and he said, "No, they said they were to busy" Keep in mind, this was an elderly man, and extremely fragile looking. I was to say the least MORTIFIED! I told him I would make some calls, and we'd get it taken care of. About that time another man came up with two young men that were employees of Rent to Own right there, and he said they were gonna help, they were just worried about being late, so I went over to Rent to Own and let their manager know they were out in the parking lot helping someone change their tire, the manager was extremely understanding and said they wouldn't get in trouble if they were late. So I went back and let the young men know they were good, and not to worry about getting in trouble, thanked them and went on my way, about half way home, I couldnt hold my water, so to speak so I went back to Harbor Frieghts to have a conversation with the manager. I started out by saying, I've been in risk management for right under 20 years and I completely understand about liability, but what I wanted to know was about humanity and helping others, and EXPECIALLY when he purchased what looked to be an expensive jack from their store. The managers name that I spoke with was Pete, he was surprised and said he wasn't aware this had occurred and that he would speak with his staff. He went on to say, had he known he would've went out and helped himself. I really would like to give a shout out to the young men that work at Rent to Own, as they stepped up and helped when the employee at Harbor Frieghts was unwilling to even ask his manager, or make a call, or anything that could've helped this man in this situation. Thanks again to the Rent to Own staff and manager.

Teresa and the folks at rent a center in Huntsville are the epitome of good business and reasonable expectations of customers. As a business owner, I dont always have money when the bill is due. These folks were willing work with me and still provide service and support for my products. I personally think they are excellent and trustworthy.

Treated very generic . Felt like I was having to beg for service. Very fast and dry on the telephone when asking for service or a new item .

Love this company.

Employee hit my car did not tell me about it drove off and their insurance is now accusing me of fraud and refusing to pay for I just want taillight fixed

Since yesterday I've been attempting to do online verification and transaction as in holding deposit fee, but I have attempted today to reach out to anyone from Rent-A-Center because I received a text to call a certain number to speak to representative. I am so highly discouraged into moving forward renting from Rent-A-Center when their representatives or team members do not show initiative interest to conduct business. I'll take this as red flags that I will not move forward and conducting business with Rent-A-Center

I have been a customer for a while and they have worked with us on payments. We have paid off several things. But, my computer and tires from a previously purchase. But, a couple of weeks again my husband went in to purchase a new set of tires the beginning of June.. We was told that a hundred dollars would be tooling off and that our first bill would be due in 30 days. But, they are already changes us for the tires. They are not doing tires with Ringo Tires anymore. They are using Discount Tires now. Well, my husband went to have them put on our car. And someone there handed him a receipt on how much they cost and rent a center paid them. They was not suppose to give the customer the receipt. But, I am glad he did. Because, now I know the truth about they are overcharging their customers. That my dears is called price grudging. They are getting richer from customers being overcharged. I have the receipt that says $575.75 dollars. They are charging us for 8 tires instead of 4 tires. But, they are charging us double for the tires. I can understand a few $100.00. Dollars but not double the price.They are charging us over a $1000.00 dollars. I may not never buy anything else from them. You trust people to do the right thing by the customer. But, apparently they don't care enough about their customers. We all work hard for our money. I think That this company needs a wake call. What they are doing is against the law. They do have some nice people working there. Thank you,
