I am genuinely baffled by the level of incompetence and lack of communication/knowledge at this company. I attempted to rent a couch and ran into an issue that no one, despite speaking with numerous representatives, was able or willing to resolve. No one seemed to know what they were doing, there was zero follow up, and phones and emails were completely ignored after multiple attempts at scheduling a delivery. This has been, without question the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Got denied for a Playstation cuz I refuse to pay an extra hundred dollars, and I do not have for references. It was agreed upon two different times that I would get a refund, and yet I'm still receiving emails that I owe payment on stuff that I was denied for. It's giving scam, it's definitely getting fraud. I just want my money back

I wish I would have read the reviews before dealing with this store! This is my first time renting and the online process was initially smooth. I was contacted by Yvonne the same day to complete the process and sign the contract which I did, as well as provide the necessary documentation and references as requested. This was all completed on Thursday, my delivery was scheduled for Monday. Monday I called to confirm my delivery time and was informed Yvonne was no longer with the company, however once they found my file they would get me situated for delivery and to expect a call in 20-30 minutes. Hours went by and I never received a phone call, I called back and they said their systems was down and also informed me that the washer that was scheduled to be delivered was in maintenance due to a leak, but assured me they would take care of me. I never received the call. I called today, Tuesday and a different man asked to confirm my source of income, all of which I’d already done with Yvonne. I informed him that I had done this process already and did not want to have to reiterate and do the entire process over again. He advised me that he would refund me my money. I explained that I wanted the product I signed the contract for. He then gave the phone to someone named Sybil, her tone and communication was EXTREMELY unprofessional EXTREMELY condescending. She advised that there was several “contradicting” factors with my application. None of which made sense I’m self employed and provided proof of it, as well as proof of identification. My husband explained to her how much of an inconvenience this is due to their shift in management and it should not be our burden to carry. She said nothing! No apologies no attempt to preserve the business nothing! Then I advised them to refund my money, $30+ dollars, she said only $20+could go back on the card and I’d have to come into the store to get my remaining $10. This store is a HOT MESS!!!

The colerain location is the best!!!! The employees are respectful and extremely helpful. I was highly satisfied with doing business at rent a center ❤️
