Rent-A-Center

Came here to do an Amazon Return and was turned away because I wouldn’t enter their Sweepstakes. To process my Return, I was told that management required me to scan the code on this sign and input my contact information for an entry into their game. When I refused, I was then told that I needed to go somewhere else….We have done returns here before that were just like going to the Whole Foods Amazon Return Center. They scan the item and the return code and you’re done. No requirement to provide additional personal information or enter a game….This new “requirement” strikes me as an attempt by RAC to collect my data so that they can bombard me with texts or emails. I do not wish to do any business with RAC other than doing my Amazon Return, so I will never give you my information. Now, I will not come to your store for Amazon Returns. I have also complained to Amazon about this possible scam.

The associate told me I had to enter the sweepstakes to submit an Amazon return. I said I would not be doing that and she said I would have to return it elsewhere. The sweepstakes rules state that I do not have to consent to obtain goods or services from RAC but apparently “that doesn’t matter”. Absolute scam.

FOLLOW UP : i received a call from corporate after 6 months and two phone calls . I finally received a call from corporate. To be bullied into auto payment , to say my payment is due by a certain time when i have the entire day my bill is due . No where in renter center contract does it says payment is due by a certain time . To try and compare renting furniture to renting a vehicle which are to different contracts is where it shows exactly the company business. To offer to extended my furniture bill due date like you could do the day of , when renting a rental car . The corporate manager ended up declining the offer since we both disagreed. This is bad business, bad moral and values this company shows . Which reflects directly at store level to corporate. As i mentioned before i will not buy a door sign , a lawn sign or a pencil . I will continue to tell you I AM not putting nothing on auto payment, i will continue to pay my payment the day is due . They can send the pope , or even shug knight himself to my door the day is due . It still will get paid when i get ready . My first and Last purchase

Thank you Ashley!! You are the best. I went to another location in Southern shipping center and they were very rude not inviting at all. I almost didn't want anything but once I spoke to Ashley she was so great and easy to talk to. Recommended for anyone to come there. She was great!!!

So Ashley is top tier in this here business. When I say personality is given, it’s everything. Always welcoming, very professional it’s DEFINITELY GIVEN and oh when you come inside her store, it smells so so good. I will always be a valued customer as long as she’s here. 5 stars shoutout to the one and only female Ashley she did wonders and saved my life 10 out of 10 plz give her a raise she deserves it

So I will start by saying I have so many items from this store. I pay close to $ 300 a week, that's almost $1200 a month. I have houses where I place disabled seniors so when I need something reliable and delivered quick I know that as soon as I call Ashley its done. Sometimes she will call me just to check and see if I need anything at the moment I really need something. I love how helpful she is and she has always been honest with me. $1200 is a lot each month but I happily pay for the great service Ashley provides.
