Modern Rent to Own

They took money and didnt even have a signed agreement..They delivered a broke bed with not all the parts 2 times.. put together wrong the forst time and broke , second time dodnt even put it together and sat mattress on top of the old broken wood... Said they would be back with extra legs and left the bed on wood blocks... Told the manager and he said he would get it right but still no legs, cant use the bed but they called me at least 4 times a week wanting payment... I told them i have no problem paying and beed a bed but not paying until I get what i ordered.... They called me 3 more times and each time i explained to them that i wasnt paying until they bring the parts and fix it and it was unusable... The manager told me he couldnt sayisfy me ... I said i agree,... Returning everything, waste of time... I lost my money paying in the beginning ..They are incompetent

This place used to be awesome. But at a point earlier in the year through a trouble period a driver was sent out to my door every day when it wasn't even time to make a payment. I was told one time I had to call while the driver was standing there. The driver was cool no issue with him me and him were joking. But then on the day to pay I was sent a text to pay and all I had was cash. When I told them I was on the way with cash I was told by Nautica that the account had been closed. And it was closed because I was aggressive with the driver. I asked to speak with the driver and he told me it didn't matter because the manager had made the call. When I asked to speak with the manager he then said it was a Tina call. I told him I already knew Tim and Tina and I could reach out to them and then said it was the owner. So when I asked him how can we resolve this he stood up and got in my face and yelled that he wants me to "be a man". And they were coming and bringing police to my house on that Wednesday. A family member wanted to just pay the balance to end the whole situation but he didn't want to take payment over the phone. They would have to come into the store that day or he wasn't entertaining it. It was already almost closing time. The balance got paid and my account was fully paid off because the other items I had were already fully paid off. So I was working on my bedroom furniture at that point. When the text came in on the payment I sent a special text to back since Nautica was trying to fight and they no longer wanted to communicate with me at this store. I was going to do more business here because Tim, Tina, and a few others were really good and very communicative. But Nautica decided to force some lie I was aggressive. And he kept telling me thats how he had to be at Rentacenter, or other places. And that wasn't the only time. There had been a situation where I couldn't pay the day I was supposed to because it was my dad's funeral in Alabama. When I called him back that Monday he asked a lot of questions and I had told him he asking those questions were inappropriate and he apologized then. Regardless these folks will lie and try to get police involved. And if they claim they don't I have voicemails and texts to prove it. And through all the lies not one time did I get an apology.

Whatever one of your drivers was on 421 west going through Kernersville on 10/13 around 12:30 pm needs to never drive for you again. They were swerving in and out of traffic going over 85 mph ( I know cause I was going 80) cutting people off in heavy traffic, almost causing multiple accidents , riding everyone’s bumper literally 2 feet from them and almost lost control going around a few curves. It looks like you have a great company, so I assume you don’t want someone like that driving in a van with your company’s name on it. I’ll be happy to take this down as not to affect your ratings but I wanted you to be aware of this.

Terrible customer service skills they lie and try to lock you in outrageous prices. They are rude. They’re threatening harassing and so much more. Please do not do business here my cousin was on her deathbed and they kept harassing and harassing even when we tried to offer to pay it off They wanted it paid in full, which is about six times the original potential value they are very disorderly non-compassionate and disgusting do not rent from here

Absolutely stress-free purchasing process. Josh is very professional and kind to everyone, make sure you ask for him! Our furniture was delivered within 3 days. The delivery men were extremely kind, they even offered to help move around existing heavy furniture for my mother and I. The furniture itself is QUALITY and BEAUTIFUL. The detail in each piece is phenomenal, every drawer slides smooth, and the solid beds do not creek or budge. We are once again happy customers with Modern 🥰
