Recieveda queen size bed frame with the wrong support for the mattress, the bed was supposed to have slats but they gave me platforms which don't even open all the way up bc the bed frame has drawers at the end. Also was given a full size mattress and when I tried to communicate that I was talked down to, told ashley sends that size mattress for a queen but their website says something different. Will never ever use rent a center again

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Rent-A-Center. At the beginning of the leasing process, everything seemed professional and accommodating. The employee was super sweet. Which I completely agree with this. The representative I spoke with , Chris which he said he was the store manager was extremely argumentative, dismissive, and unprofessional during our phone conversation. Instead of working towards a respectful resolution, the interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational and stressful. The long text messages trying to turn it on me and why he hung up and the overall communication style came across as harassing rather than helpful. He completely stressed me out while I was at work. He hung up on me once I asked for the cooperates number to resolve the matter. He stated his team was knocking on my door which was a complete lie because you need a key fob or key code to even get to my apartment. He then lied and stated that my rental agreement was expired which it was not because I was looking on the app. I tried explaining to him I made my payment because on my end the app stated I did. He quickly became dismissive. Threatening me telling me needs to come get the couch. At this point I just asked for a refund and I will call back at a reasonable time & schedule a time next week so they can come get it. As I stated to him I am currently at work and I work a 9 - 5 and 45mins away it will be impossible for us to schedule it this week. Next week will be appropriate, He then got loud with me and stated I don’t need to keep repeating myself to you. When I asked for the cooperates number he hung up. Then started texting me long paragraphs about how I am argumentative which was not true. All I replied back was screenshots of my app showing proof I paid. I called back and spoke to a different employee which stated my term agreement was not expired and I did make a payment. But I still will be ending my term with this company because it was unnecessary confrontation from the minute the store manager called me. The way he tries to talk to you in such a rude nasty matter is uncalled for.

Warning to Future Renters: I would not recommend renting from this company based on my experience. Customer service has been disappointing, and communication with management has been difficult. When I attempted to discuss my payment situation and communicate a timeline for when I could make a payment, the interaction became unproductive and argumentative rather than solution-focused. There were also inaccurate statements made regarding communication issues, which created unnecessary tension and made resolving concerns more challenging. While the company may initially present itself as professional and accommodating, my experience behind the scenes did not reflect that same level of professionalism, maturity, or customer care. I encourage prospective tenants to do thorough research before signing a lease and carefully consider whether this management style aligns with what you would want in a rental experience for yourself or your family.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Rent-A-Center. At the beginning of the leasing process, everything seemed professional and accommodating. However, once I entered into the lease agreement, the level of customer service drastically changed. The representative I spoke with today, Chris, was argumentative, dismissive, and unprofessional during our phone conversation. Instead of working toward a respectful resolution, the interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational and stressful. The repeated calls and overall communication style came across as harassing rather than helpful. As a customer, I believe professionalism, integrity, and respectful communication should remain consistent throughout the entire leasing experience — not just until paperwork is signed. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Due to the ongoing stress and lack of professionalism, I ultimately decided to have them pick up the item simply for the sake of my peace of mind. If you are looking to lease from a company that values integrity, customer respect, and professional communication, I would strongly encourage you to consider other options.

Was supposed to get my deposit back last week per the rent a center website with no effort on my part if I didn't go pick up said item. I had to call a week later and request my money back directly. Now I have to wait another week to have access to my money. 0 out of 10 wouldn't recommend
