Absolute worst customer service I’ve ever experienced!! I work in customer service myself and if I spoke to customers the way a store manager spoke to me I wouldn’t have a job. I have always made my payments on time. I was currently going through a situation and divorce and called to see if I could make a partial payment or ask for an extension. The way the manager spoke to me was completely unethical. As if that was bad enough he cancelled my lease without my knowledge. Never again will I ever get anything from Aaron’s and I will also make sure that people know about this throughout the community. Completely unacceptable to ever speak to a customer the way I was spoken to.

Even though they really overcharge (as all rent to own places do), I used to think that they were okay until recently. My husband bought a riding lawnmower there. When he made his final payment he was sold an extended warranty, if he continued making monthly payments on the warranty. To sell the warranty, the salesman stated that as long as he was paying on the warranty, the lawnmower was covered. On July 5th, Aaron's took out the payment. On July 7th, my husband called because the lawnmower wasn't working correctly. He was told that the warranty expired July 2nd. This month, they took money from the account again. They have been called multiple times about this, but no one working ever knows anything, and will have "a manager" call back. No one ever calls back. Looks like the BBB will be the only way to stop them from continued theft from my bank account.

Employees are friendly and helpful for the most part...but here's where my problem lies. I went in to add a laptop to the contract I already have with them. I knew exactly what I wanted and made it really simple (since I walked in 30 min before they close). While the computer is supposedly new, it's also the floor model (I don't consider that new) and when I got it home I discovered it's password protected and I can't even begin to set it up until I'm able to call them when they open in the morning. Obviously they were in a hurry to get me out the door since they didn't bother to reset the device before shoving it in a box and sending me on my way with it. :(

Horrible experience except for the phone call I received from the district manager, he was professional and engaging. This may be my fault but, they never informed me that I would be getting used and beat up furniture and TV. TV doesn't work properly and furniture is put together to where it literally sways back and forth if anyone attempts to use it. They should have told me. no way I am over paying for used broken furniture and TV. Just can't bring myself to do it. I have them coming and picking the merchandise up.
