Inside Rent-A-Center

What you can rent here

Rent-A-Center is a national rent-to-own chain with 1,948 stores across all 50 states, reaching communities from Lawrence, Massachusetts and Kissimmee, Florida to Harlingen, Texas and Booneville, Mississippi. Launched in 1973 in Wichita, Kansas, it was the first national chain to scale the rent-to-own model, building standardized showrooms stocked with new, name-brand merchandise. Stores carry furniture, appliances, electronics, computers, mattresses, gaming, and smartphones on flexible weekly or monthly lease agreements, and like most rent-to-own stores they typically do not require a traditional credit check. Rent-A-Center holds a 4-star Google rating across more than 152,000 reviews. Compare Rent-A-Center on VRTO alongside other rent-to-own stores near you, with hours, ratings, and what each carries.

Beware of Lawrence and Eddie. They ware running a fraud scheme though the insurance you pay for on your appliances. I sent my washer to them back in October to be worked on, a few weeks went by and my washer was sent back to me. A few months go by and I noticed it's making the same problem, so I call them and they where surprised they had to get it worked on. I eventually got it back 2 weeks ago and it's finally fixed. But beware what these guys are doing. They have failed to provide with an 2 invoices from the people who "fixed this" so make sure you look at you bill and what youre paying from this place.

Sometimes they treat people awful when they get irritated with their jobs. What I disliked was them confusing the situations and not taking responsibility for the frustrations they create themselves. My children will never purchase from here and now that we have money, I'd rather buy outright and definitely not from a dealer like any Rent A Center in Albuquerque, especially with how awful I was treated by the workers here.

Yes it's expensive. All rent or lease to own places are. But if you really want or need something they got and want to make payments without the hassle of a credit card. Then this place or places like them are the option.

Employee was friendly, personable and acted like he knew us from way back! We paid off our items and he was real congratulatory. Everything I have from rent a center is good quality and super stylish, not to mention, priced fairly. Great place.
