I have been a loyal rent a center customer for almost a year now. I have paid off a TV, and still currently paying off 2 more items. I recently got approved for, and paid my first payment on a new tv, that was supposed to be delivered today. I moved a month ago and updated my address with them twice and they still attempted to deliver to my old address. So the store manger Joe Melvin had me come in to the store to “update my file”. When I get there he says there was a living room set rented in my name back in 2016-2017 that I have no knowledge about and insisted that I pay 1500 dollars to pick up my tv. Something is definitely fishy because I never rented anything from rent a center until last year. And why is this just now being brought to my attention instead of a year ago when I first applied for my items? There is a mistake in their system or it was fraud. Either way it shouldn’t have any bearing on me picking up my tv that I’ve already paid my first payment on, on an account I’ve been paying on for a year. I left feeling very disrespected because I pay my bills on time every time and if it was truly me, I would pay the money. But I am NOT paying for something that I do not own. Everyone else there has been very nice and helpful except Joe who was very rude. I am escalating this to corporate. I hope they can fix this issue, or they will be losing a reliable customer. I will have no problem taking my business elsewhere if this can’t be resolved

General manager Ethan is probably one of the best I've seen he's real professional and will make sure you're well taken care of. He's so adamant about his customers that he will remember you by name and greet you as you walk in . Very pleased with his service thank you!
We rented an entire living room set plus a big screen TV. They delivered the next day on time! Love the furniture but they are expensive. Weekly payments are a blessing and a curse at the same time but when you need descent furniture and don't have thousands of dollars to spend at once this is the best option. It's so much more comfortable hanging out at home now.
