Don’t do business here , Michael the store manager doesn’t take his job serious at all , he’s disrespectful and his employees damage everything they touch . I went from a reclining sectional and dining room table at a townhome to a sectional at a brand new apartment complex, they damaged everything they touch , I’m currently fighting with them now to repair a couch they want me to pay 2 grand on but brought it inside my apartment so carelessly it looked like a used couch once inside , I have been getting the run around for 2 almost 3 months on when it will be repaired & now I’ve gotten corporate involved & all of a sudden now Michael wants to act like he cares . They also damaged my entry way door into my brand new apartment building & didn’t want to take responsibility , he even went the distance to call my apartment complex & act like he was a interested person wanting to move in and asked what would happen if he damaged door ways with furniture & he told me to put in a work order , no that’s not how this works when a “ professional “ company who moves heavy items for a living damages my building . He’s always on the phone with family while customers are in the location , shows no respect to the customers , cussing , even smoking while a customer is inside the store . He’s unapologetic & wants payments on time but doesn’t want to accept responsibility for damaging furniture , your pouring water inside a broken cup my friend beacuse that’s not how it’s gonna work with this customer, I assure you that .
…over the years I’ve purchased a few items via the same as cash, 6 month deal- I absolutely LOVE the wrap around couch I purchased and just last week the laptop- say what you want about rentacenter, but it’s a blessing when someone delivers a couch for your children that you may not fully financially have up front, but can pay over time- do you pay a little extra? yes- but do your children have a furnished home to go to? yes! because sometimes you just don’t have it all right then and there- the staff was always kind and professional- I never got hassled with phone calls because I made my payments- and even when I needed to push my payment back a few days, it was never a problem because I always kept my word- if I ever needed anything else I wouldn’t hesitate to return, at all- I definitely appreciate them!
Since this is sort of a long story , I am going to try to keep it as short as possible. My husband and I tried to do business with this particular rent a center, and while doing so we experienced discrimination from a young man named Sean. All we were trying to do is get a decent mattress really fast because we had just purchased a new bedroom set and upgraded from a queen to a king. Since my husband has back issues he can’t just sleep on any kind of mattress so the type that he needs is running anywhere between 1500 to 3000 dollars these days. But I would have never expected that trying to do something so simple would have turned out to be one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. Sean made me feel like I literally had to humanize myself to him just for him to treat me with the bare minimum of respect. Please read this warning. Do not go to this branch while this guy is still employed there. I spoke with the district manager and she was nice, but did not give me the impression that anything would be done about his behavior.
I love this store! All of the employees are very attentive and friendly! They got me in and out the door with everything I needed and gave me a very thorough run down of how everything works. I will always come back to this location for all of my rent to own needs!
Two words incompetent and Rude. Spoke to Jenny on the phone (employee). She answered the phone talking about who is this, very unprofessional. I asked her about a conversation had 2 hrs prior to find out what's going on. She was clueless about her own statements made. Very unprofessional and incompetent on every level. I can't speak about the others. But her manner of dealing with clients is deplorable. If my employer ever caught me speaking unprofessional like that, I would be dismissed. Not to mention arguing with a client on the phone, who's just trying to understand what happened to the arrangement made is disgusting. She gives customer service reps and the company a bad look. There needs to be some consequences for employees who don't act their pay rate or position.
