Came in looking for a couch. Wasn't greeted as we walked in, one employee was on the phone with I'm assuming a customer and I'm not even sure what the other employee was doing in his office. The employee on the phone was dealing with I assume a difficult customer, because she was cussing, rolling her eyes, huffing and puffing, all of that. I understand dealing with difficult customers can be frustrating but you really shouldn't let other potential customers see you like that; you've got to maintain your composure. Once off the phone she came to "help" us, but didn't really talk to us much at all about what we were looking for, before walking away sort of mid conversation to go answer the phone. The customer on the phone was asking a bunch of questions about renting, and the employee seemed a bit rude to said customer just because of his questions. After all of this we just walked out and decided to do business elsewhere, because if this encounter was a reflection of how renting/buying through Rent-a-Center would be, I want no part of it. Do not recommend.
I do not recommend this rental store. The strong smell of smoke creates an unclean atmosphere, and I observed roaches near the furniture. Given these unsanitary conditions, I would be concerned about the quality and cleanliness of any rented items. It would be best to consider other options.
These people don't work with you on your payment. Been doing busy with RAC in Ohio for years and never had problems until I moved to Florida. Aaron's worked with me on my payment. Stay away from RAC.
10/14/ 24 Absolutely horrible service!!!! I needed to rent a recliner because of a knee replacement surgery and there was 1 recliner plugged in that did not recline all the way and when I asked if I could try any others she said they did not have any plugged in for me to try. Didn’t even try to leave the counter to assist me. Very disappointed at the lack of service I was given. I just walked out the door. They could care less. Update: I called the 1800 number And the gentleman said he couldn’t even find my review to be able to help me so I don’t know what the whole purpose of calling the number does?
If I could give 0 stars I would. Gigi has the worst customer service skills I’ve ever seen. Won’t ACTIVELY LISTEN to you when you’re explaining a situation and then will get into a screaming match with you if you don’t listen to her (which surprise, is something she’s incapable of doing herself). She seems to have some sort of need to always be right. Take your business somewhere else! Update: May 16th!!! They just picked up the W/D (dryer that was not working). They kept telling me it was my receptacle, but I just went got a new set from Aaron’s and the plug works just fine. RAC did not even take the time to test the receptacle or anything before blaming it on my plug. I didn’t want them to either anyway after the store manager treated me so badly, I just wanted those things out of my apartment.
