Insanely Rude customer service. I have a brain injury and made a call to rent a dryer to eventually own from this consumer. I had trouble uploading the verification documents needed, they were too blurry. I reached out to this company to try and get help with this. I was told I was being combative and not conforming to their rules. The manager told me I am never to rent from this company, I am banned because my documents wouldn’t load. Her response was “you aren’t cooperating and getting upset leads us to believe you are a liar and won’t make your payments”. I was already approved on their website. I was yelled at because their website wouldn’t load. This was my fault, apparently. They were rude and I let them know, I didn’t hold back. Chris kept calling my phone, I asked him to stop after I was told I wasn’t welcome there. He told me he wasn’t going to stop calling me. I have the whole conversation recorded on my iPad. I had to block their number because he called back 3 times and was literally yelling at me. Beware of them as they will try and use God to make you feel bad before twisting the narrative. I would imagine they deal with all walks of life, but to treat someone with a disability like this is wild. The manager claimed she returned my money but I have yet to see it back in my account.

Store Manager Chris has really helped me out. I had to move to the area in a hurry five months ago. I didn’t have trucks and friends to move furniture and I couldn’t miss work to move in to my new place. Chris set me up with a 75” Samsung TV, a nice huge couch and nice bedroom set and had it all delivered and set up in my new 2nd floor apartment while I was at work. They have very good prices on everything they offer, especially if you pay it off within six months. Today I paid off the remaining balance so I would only have to pay the six months same as cash. Thanks Chris.

I left a 5 star on the highland road location too bad they closed. The manger at this specific location, Chris has lost his Petunias !! he is a disrespectful and rude bill collector. A manger, treats people with respect, that’s a word he doesn’t know. The only bonus he needs this year is a customer service class. After thousands of dollars paid off in an array of goods, he couldn’t work with me on a piece of 💩 amount that he called substantial. This man should have the title of aggressive bill collector, because he puts his whole back and neck into it you would think he owns the store. He takes missed payments personal and even accused me of mistreating him for the past due amount. I understand his position, but the way he comes at people is side ways. The other workers and the actual store I have no complaints on, very helpful staff, unhinged manager. Last time I do business with them and I even earned platinum member ! Wondering how I got that title with Chris threatening to throw the cops on me!! Never again !!

Had a client who rented a new TV still in the original unopened box. When opened the TV was cracked and would not work. RAC would not exchange. Stated even if returned, if the TV was not paid off in full, they would seek felony charges (this is one of many documented lies they told.) The manager also forged several rental documents in an attempt to hide his dishonesty. Beware of this "business."

I have been dealing with Rent A Center for the past three weeks, and I am beyond frustrated. They have repeatedly stood me up for scheduled mattress pickups, and each time, I was assured that they would come, only to be let down. Their customer service has been unhelpful and, at times, quite rude. The lack of communication and professionalism is unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed and will not be recommending them to anyone.
