I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but what I witnessed was extremely concerning. My next-door neighbor had a service appointment with Rent King in South St. Petersburg on July 31, 2026, at a residence on Russell Street South. While I wasn’t the customer, I was close enough to hear the interaction, and I have never witnessed customer service handled so unprofessionally. For context, I’ve spent my career working with the public, including restaurant management, hospitality, landscaping management, and private protection. I also have experience in customer relations and public safety. Based on that experience, the employee’s conduct fell far below what should be expected from someone representing a company inside a customer’s home. The representative was using profanity in front of children, speaking disrespectfully about customers who rent from Rent King, and openly expressing how much he disliked both his job and the company he worked for. Regardless of someone’s personal frustrations, that is not appropriate behavior in a customer’s home. I sincerely hope Rent King investigates this incident and takes appropriate corrective action. Customers deserve to feel respected and comfortable when inviting company representatives into their homes, especially when children are present.

Mike and Shawn (or if it’s Shaun I’m not too sure) were great and effective! They were quick and so nice. Thank you Rent King!

Best experience in the store number 20 ranking the manager her name is Alexis. She’s one of the best manager on the ranking corporate and store. I recommend everybody to go to that store. Buy everything.

My experience with Rent King has been nothing short of amazing. I’ve been with Bill and Jade for over nine years, and at this point, they’re more than just staff — they’re family. Their service, attention to detail, and genuine care for their customers is unmatched. Every time I walk in, I’m treated with respect, kindness, and real concern for my needs. Rent King isn’t just a business; it’s a place where people truly care. I would recommend anyone to go there because you won’t just be a customer — you’ll be valued.

The delivery staff did a wonderful job and explaining things to us as far as when I had questions regarding the rails, and they did a great job in making sure that I had what I wanted I had misinformed them or confused them and regarding the headboard and footboard, they thought that there was another one coming, but they quickly called the store and it was taken care of so the staff was very friendly, very informative and we appreciated all their help.

Bruce was amazing with helping me find a pretty reasonable wash machine and dryer combo

Fab was great and got every done quickly She explained everything perfectly and was amazing.

Moses was awesome! We were in a pinch with the movers and not getting our furniture and Moses helped out immensely with getting us set-up. Nothing but positive from this place. Everyone treats you like family and is willing to help.
