A family member and another business owner told me that this was a reputable company. And they are. I needed a unit for a business use - and another unit at our home for bikes, lawn mowers, power tools, etc. Excellent working with Mike in sales. I noticed they did not check credit. It was not Cash up front either. It is basically financed over time (of course with 10% sales tax in City/County of Mobile). Had the unit chosen now about 36mths (36 payments over 3yrs). Delivery went smoothe and unit is quality. There is 1 point of interest. When I purchased my home, cars and business locations all agreements clearly outlined the monthly interest amatorized over time....Maybe 5%, 8%, 10%. Example - when i purchased my current home 23yrs ago my mortgage clearly outlined a 30yrs Fixed loan at 5% interest based on a 750 credit score. When purchasing these units - double check to see the exact interest rate and if it's 24, 36, 48 or 60mths. This is the one area you need to be mindful of. Make sure that those 2 things are clear and concise. If you are apart of a credit union or a bank like we are, you may consider getting approved for financing and paying for units upfront to avoid higher interest. We purchased a new lean-to for our home. TJ and Ronnie did an amazing job getting it done and even worked in the rain. We appreciate their hard work.

So I’m normally not the one to give someone a bad review but I must warn you before buying or leasing anything from them. So on April 24th 2024 I rented a storage building from Mike which is the president of the company. My boyfriend rented a carport from them a week prior to me. Mike told us that normally only one person per home can rent only one thing but he leased both of them to us. Carport in boyfriend’s name and storage in mine. I paid the first month of rent. My bill wasn’t due until June.So there was a problem with my boyfriends payment so I went to the establishment to pay his. When I got there I was told to talk to Shawn in accounting. He advised me that I could not come and pay my bill at the office it had to be paid direct deposit. I explained we was having a problem with the bank. So I was going to make the payment and dang the luck I had problems with my card as well. So he told me to call him back and he would take payment over phone. The next morning I called to make payment and he advised me that I was breaking my contract because we couldn’t have 2 things for one house. What he didn’t know or ask was that Mike approved of it. So he told me he had to talk to his manager to see what was going on. So when he called back he was so rude and asked me word for word if we were going to be able to make the payments. That if we couldn’t he would repo. So I told him I didn’t want to do business with them at all.Here is a email that Mike the president sent me. Please look at dates. These people are a nightmare!!!! So to reply to your post I’m not trying to put your company down but I want people to understand how y’all work. And no I didn’t leave anything out. My husband rented from you as well as I rented a piece of property. The payment you were asking for wasn’t even due. So yes if you feel I am not correct please show me and the others what kind of business you are. Thanks

Great job extending a double carport off my garage, highly recommend

I went to this place Saturday,Nov 18,2023.The guy gave me a quote on a couple units for $2200 & $2400.I told him that a lady posted the same unit for $1800 and that according to the post it was from there.I was trying to show him the post but he wasn't interested.I told him that I didn't know if his prices were negotiable but I was hoping to pay $2000 cash.He immediately told me to go down the street and buy a wood one.I told him that I am a customer and all he had to say was it wasn't negotiable. We danmn near got in a fight before he walked off still talking trash.I guess he didn't want to be bothered on a Saturday

They are charging 45% interest on their rent to own program but don't want to come right out and tell you that. When I quickly pieced that together the sales guy quickly got flustered and told me they didn't want my business and hung up on me like an ignorant coward, LOL. AVOID.

We purchased a garage through Southern Building Structures last year. Johnnie was excellent to deal with. We were happy with the garage overall, BUT we were not pleased with how the roof was fastened. Within weeks of the garage being built, water had poured into the garage ruining the new insulation and making it moldy (as it is to this day though dried). We spent hours on the roof siliconing around the nail holes attempting to make it waterproof, but unfortunately the new insulation was already ruined. The concrete pad done by Louis's team was excellent and the lean-to was done well. We did have to call the contractor back as the door was not aligned, but they fixed it well. So, our deepest disappointment was the leaky roof and builders not making sure it was waterproof! Has anyone else had this experience with SS?

Great experience. From Sales to delivery, their staff was second to none. Strongly recommend to anyone.

Be weary the sales staff will lie to get you to buy product. We asked about auger Anchors specifically and paid extra for them when car port was installed they did not have augers the had home made flat metal trashy ankers not as strong as an auger anchor by far when I complained to the sales man he said he would look into it. To this day I have heard nothing from him or the company. Beware they will lie and con you to get the sell not worth messing with them I will never do Business with them again!!!

Very pleased with the pricing and service. The delivery staff was very courteous and professional. Had no idea their buildings were so well made and their prices were reasonable. I highly recommend them!

What a crock. Johnny is one of their salesmen. He is the one that failed to coordinate my building. Now I have a mispoured slab sloped inward so the rain runs in and floods when it rains. And a step up for the other door. This is not what I was expecting. But what do you expect from someone that misrepresents themself to post favorable reviews. Check out their facebook reviews one is from the owner and one is from an employee (truck driver). Integrity??? What so you think?

Great service. Friendly and honest sales staff. I got the building I wanted delivered the very next day.
