I had to pay the water bill. They do that for foot traffic and I thought about buying a sectional recliner or something because I'm soft shopping for living room furniture. Didn't seem like a great work atmosphere. I assume the guy working the desk pays his water bill in a more conventional manner. But I was out of town and I was coming back to town and paying bills before I split town again. Just attitude. I hate Granite City. The whole town has an attitude.
Went to go pay my utility bills there and they are very polite. They will always get my business. Thank you Customer service!
Horrible, horrible, horrible! Read the reviews. Any company that rebuttals a review with announcing people’s personal account information instead of accepting constructive criticism is a huge red flag! They will probably come on here and state I was late with my payment, and I was, due to where my payday landed. I did however make payment arrangements with the owner and that very same day they showed up at my house asking my parents for the payment I owed. Then they did it again and that was enough for me. They are charging 4x’s the amount of my purchase and the interaction with these people is definitely not worth the price I was paying for my purchase. They are bullies and are borderline harassing. Then after I told them I was going to return my item, they started to send very rude condescending text messages to my phone saying they were going to turn me in for theft of property, because I was at work and couldn’t take my item back right then, I ultimately had to block them all together. Don’t waste your time or money with this place. Anything would be better then this place!
Friendly environment. Great communication. Great selection. I thought I wasn’t going to get the sectional that I wanted because it wouldn’t fit in my door & they made it happen! Go check them out 🙂.
Would give no stars if I could and I've never been there. Keep getting over due rent messages on my door for someone that hasn't lived here for over 5 to 6 months. Tried to call them on numerous occasions and can never get anyone to answer the phone. Very poor business ethic in my eyes. Edit to response: How does that explain today 7/13?
Met with a very nice sales rep. His name is Mark . He's very knowledgeable about the merchandise if you think you cannot get he can and will work with you. I recommended this place if needed.
Years ago and even now I don't have aproblem with Berts they always done right by us. If you havent got it in the store you always find it for me.They have been so nice to us in the store and the delivery guys been awesome. Thank you guys yous have been awesome.
Went in looking for a couch and came out with a dinette, 3 piece table set, and a lovely sectional! They have a lot of options as far as payments go and are fantastic! Was even able to get the furniture the next day, for free shipping! Thank you Bert's!
I would suggest not to rent from them as of right now I am 10 days behind they call me and threatened me with police actions, I called them and told them I would pay my bill on Friday and catch it up they said they wanted to pick my stuff up so I told them to come get it. granted its not their fault I'm behind by 10 days u would think they would work with me as they know I had foot surgery on 3/20/20 and my wife has been laid off due to covid-19. but it is what it is..
I was a customer for almost 4 years. I paid off a living room set, 2 TVs, and a bed set. May I mind you they charge triple the amount when it’s a leased agreement. I’ve been pretty loyal to them overall. Here it is the roughest time in the country due to covid19, I’m laid off, waiting on my unemployment, still trying to make ends meet in other areas. I had a washer and dryer set and an Xbox the last two things I was leasing. The agreement was if i paid my partial payment of 60$ i could continue to lease. I was late by a day and Jordan an employee there was beating at my door at 8am. Then he proceeded to want to fight. I had the money in my hand that they ask for. I’ve been late before and have always paid the late fees. So i owed 65$. They said they’d rather would have their merchandise instead. Fine by me. So much money invested into a company that doesn’t care about their customers just about the $$$$ instead.
Purchased a stereo outright from the manager, Mark. Got it home and discovered that the bluetooth only works if you stand next to the thing. My first and main concern prior to purchasing was "does this have bluetooth" Mark responding yes. Will we tested it right then but failed to think about the distance the bluetooth allowed. I can understand being in the next room or something but not being able to step away more than 5ft is not acceptable. I love the system so we went online to try and trouble shoot the issue since the stereo was sold used with no manual and discovered the the item brand new from the factory with free shipping and no tax was less than $200 plus dollars. We went on their website and saw that they do have a excellent return policy that says can return product at any time in bold letters. Which gave us relief. We called with our concerns and was told that they would call us back because Mark is the one that handles returns. The stereo is huge so we wanted them to know we was bringing it before loading it up in our truck. Of coarse we never received a call. We eventually called from a different number and got a hold of Mark who told us that he had to talk with his DJ (Chris) because he knows how to program the bluetooth and he would call us back. Hold up what about the more than $200 get over charge and the return policy. And I have never heard of programming a bluetooth. His exact words was we have to make money so your not going to pay what you would pay from the factory and I have to talk to my boss about returning it. Well long story short when we go on their website now it says their website is suspended. He said there are no returns and no warranty. I contacted the bbb and the federal trade Commission. I can't believe how they went about this and I'm greatful to not have to be a customer that rents from them. I can only imagine how they treat their targeted consumers. I call suck up the $620 but what about the people that really don't have it or the elderly people do you get over on them like that? They are dead flat out wrong and get overs to the up most extreme. Mark most have a bad cold or a bad sinus infection because he sniffed the whole conversation. Im hoping he was not feeling well and a little delusional that day he did this for a reason behind this nonsense.
My husband and I bought a beautiful couch and loveseat from here for a great price. The staff was so nice and the owner is very sweet. The delivery guys were very friendly and courteous. We even received a handwritten thank you card in the mail from the owner. It's the little things like that that will make me want to always shop there from now on and I will recommend them to anyone looking for furniture! Support small businesses!
