Rent-A-Center holds a 4-star Google rating across more than 152,000 reviews. Compare Rent-A-Center on VRTO alongside other rent-to-own stores near you, with hours, ratings, and what each carries.

This store has steadily gotten worse over time. My first visit was great, but subsequent experiences were terrible. I purchased a washer and dryer, and the washer that was delivered was damaged—the manager had to bring a replacement. Later, a couch I ordered arrived broken, and they refused to honor a paid-in program from a previous purchase. There’s a new manager every few months, but the excuses remain the same, and no one takes responsibility. Delivery drivers are careless, often damaging items, and they don’t call ahead—sometimes showing up earlier than promised. Prices at checkout can also differ from what was agreed on in-store. I won’t be going back; I can’t trust anything they say.

I looked online to see what a quote would be about 2 months ago. I decided against getting anything from the company. I proceed to get spam called and texts from this location even after saying to stop contacting me. I then literally 2 months later get an email saying I have a payment due for products I don't even own. Call the manager and she assured me she would handle the issue and bam 2 days later they call me like bill collectors saying "you're two days behind can we get a payment" then after blowing up on them I get oh it's a glitch in our system. Don't give them any of your information and let this company go bankrupt actually sad

It was easy to rent. The problem. Is I cant drop off the refrigerator, they have to pick it up. I've called they said they will schedule a pickup, but dont come. Then they decide to keep charging me. I will update as soon as something changes. Still haven't picked it up. I should be charging them as storage.

So I was finally able to get it worked out with no help from. The main manager of actual rent center. Tom had to reach out to me to get the matters resolved and did a pretty decent job with it, and happy with the outcome definitely appreciate Tom for giving me a call back then, helping me out and getting everything figured.

I have merchandise with them and some fraudulent stuff happened with my bank account (told them this 5-7 times) and that I would make the payment online when I get it figured out. (Account is frozen because of it) and I get a call every day with threats to come get the merchandise or for them to call the police department, it’s always one threat or the other. Thomas I believe is the manager calls me 3-4 times a day from different phone numbers and scolds me like I am his child and like he has some right to talk to me the way that he is. Very unprofessional and quite frankly insulting. Why do you hire people like this and why does your company condone behavior such as this? I am barely 2 weeks late and am being threatened with police and legal action as well as being talked to like I’m a deviant and not a customer? Is this how you expect to maintain business.

My experience in the store was great. I was given options and suggestions for my rental purchase. I never felt pressured to hurry into a decision. I was quite pleased with my in-store visit. The staff seem very knowledgeable and up on current trends. I will always start my search for household purchases with RAC on E Main St. I appreciate your choices.
