Rent-A-Center

I have been renting with RAC on Patrick Street for 2 years and have always had a great experience with them! They have always been extremely helpful, professional and courteous! I received Platinum member rewards so decided after getting a laptop and washer and dryer set I would use my rewards to get a new TV for their Black Friday sale! Ernie helped me today and he was great to work with, him and the ladies there made sure I got a great deal and everything I needed to take my tv home! They are a great company to work with! All they ask is that you pay your bill! I have never once had a bad experience with them because I pay my bill on time, every time! Be responsible and pay your bill and your experience with them will be great!

UPDATE: This place is a complete joke. They’re all smiles when they want your money, but the second you actually need help, you’re treated like absolute garbage. I was told very clearly on Friday that since I’d be two days late, they’d pick it up Tuesday and that even if I tried to pay after that, it would just be refunded. Guess what? Tuesday came and went—no pickup—and now they’ve been trying to charge me EVERY SINGLE DAY since. When I called to clear this up, the store manager—the same person who was so “friendly” before—suddenly turned into the rudest, most unprofessional person I’ve dealt with in a long time. She was disrespectful, dismissive, and basically hung up on me while I was trying to understand how to fix THEIR screw-up. She even admitted her employee gave me wrong info, but instead of making it right, she acted like it was my fault. So now I’m being punished because THEIR staff doesn’t know how to do their jobs. That’s beyond unacceptable. DO NOT rent from this location unless you enjoy being lied to, overcharged, and treated like dirt. The fake friendliness is just a mask—they are TERRIBLE at customer service. The manager’s behavior was disgusting and completely unprofessional. Also, She set me up with a Saturday delivery stating they're "not allowed to do Saturday deliveries but she'll do it for me to help me out". Then practically begged me for a 5 star review for it. Should have been a red flag right then. ___________ I went to Rent-A-Center this morning to get a washer and dryer, and the experience could not have been smoother. Veronica (I hope I remembered her name correctly!) helped us, and she was absolutely amazing—friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. She made the whole process beyond easy. I wish every customer service interaction was like this. Huge thanks to her for making what could have been stressful into something simple and enjoyable!

Called multiple times to set up an agreement after my $25 deposit online. Ernie at rent a center was pissed when I couldn’t come in 15 minutes before they close so he rudely “canceled my order” and then hung up the phone. Now this week I was charged $98.20 for an agreement I don’t have and never had. Ernie stole my credit card information and I am reporting him for fraud to my company today. I am also calling corporate to report their employee stole my card information. I will also be going in store today for my money back immediately or I will go to the cops and file a police report for theft and sue them in small claims court. I recommend you don’t do business here. Trash employees and a shady business. Go to Aarons!!!

"I'm writing to express my extreme disappointment and concern regarding Rent-A-Center's recent actions. Employees came to my home and harassed a person who has no involvement with my rental agreement. This person informed them that I was not home and that I work out of state. Despite this, they made her feel incredibly uncomfortable and were extremely rude. I'm appalled by this behavior. It's unacceptable for Rent-A-Center to harass anyone, especially someone not involved in a contract. I want to know what Rent-A-Center plans to do to address this situation and ensure it doesn't happen again. This experience has been deeply disturbing, and I urge others to be cautious when dealing with this company. I also want to point out that Rent-A-Center offers benefits for customers who lose their jobs or get sick and can't make payments for months. Being only a week or two behind and having them act so aggressively is unacceptable. I understand the type of customers they deal with and the challenges of late payments, but this level of harassment is not okay. It's important to note that Rent-A-Center also has a policy of giving people time, sometimes months, to catch up on payments if they're struggling. This makes their aggressive behavior even more concerning. Given my long-term involvement with Rent-A-Center, I'm especially disappointed by this treatment. It's not the way a company should treat its customers, especially those who have been loyal for a long time. In addition, I was approved for a TV online, and they took my payment. However, when it came time for delivery, the store refused to give it to me. To make matters worse, they still haven't reimbursed me for the TV I was approved for and paid for. This whole experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I feel completely let down by Rent-A-Center. It's also quite concerning that they've started harassing me at my home now that I only have $300-$400 left to pay on the product.

Well at 1st I ordered a sectional couch. Well it was too big on delivery day so we had to return it on the following Monday. We then got online and found the 1 we have now and absolutely love it. Thank you RAC.
