We also encountered a last-minute permitting issue, and Carolina Yard Barns responded quickly and professionally, demonstrating remarkable flexibility in a challenging situation. Katie was very friendly and easy to work with in assisting me with my storage shed selection, explaining the process, responding to my call(s) when I had additional questions, scheduling a site inspection beforehand so that I could be sure my location for the shed would be feasible, and payment options. Robert did my inspection, Tara got me scheduled for the build, and Robert built me a beautiful 8'x12' double-lofted barnstyle shed w/double doors and transom window(s) insert(s) with a ramp. He even matched up my shingles with the exact ones installed on my home 2 years ago. The build took 2 full days, as planned, and he was very efficient and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. Our home has very limited storage space, and our shed was significantly damaged by Hurricane Fran. We have been paying for a storage unit at a local facility for nearly 10 years, and the prices have gone up exponentially. Originally, we looked into building a 20’ x 30’ shed but permit issues and prices got out of control. We decided to visit Carolina Yard Barns in Garner to see what options they had. Katie showed us the different size sheds and designs, and gave us all the information from pricing to options and upgrades. We chose The Heritage 24’ x 16’ with SmartSide panel and ramp. Rob came out to inspect the foundation, and addressed our concerns. Tara and Katie are the lifeline that helped us place the order, schedule the installation, handled the chaos and delays of permits, and answered our many, many questions. Ross and Matt came to our house and did a tremendous job building the shed in 3 ½ days. They were very friendly, worked non-stop, and kept the area clean. We paid for our shed when it was done, and there were no hidden fees or unexpected costs. We are very impressed with everything about this family-owned business! Carolina Yard Barns offers a high-quality product, custom built on your property by skilled tradesmen, and all the employees are wonderful to work with.
