The 2 African-American women at this store are so rude and nasty. Answered talking smart, telling me their coworkers walked out which has nothing to do with me, hung up the phone on me multiple times, wouldn’t give me their names, and kept saying they couldn’t find my account then did, after being a customer who has paid every time, on time. Paid off ALL my appliances early :) I will not be returning to this location & am reporting them to corporate. They are clearly miserable when they picked this job !!!! :( never had this experience with Jessica or Josh. They were always there to help not talk crazy and hang up the phone on their customers.
This rent a center has went down hill..the selection is not good like it use to be..I have never heard of them having summer hours and they open at 12 smh and the door was still locked after 12..and the manager won’t even give you the $5 special for the week..basically told me to go to McKeesrocks smh you definitely won’t get my buisness at all!!!! THe old managers we never had an issue they were all professional and took care of their customers!!!
I am writing to make you aware of my experience at the Rent-A-Center located on Wharton Street in South Side, Pittsburgh, PA 15203. On Thursday, July 2, I visited the store solely to pick up an Amazon package. I presented my ID as requested. Despite having my ID in front of her, the employee repeatedly asked for my name multiple times. During the interaction, she was rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. She also told me that the store "makes no money" from Amazon package pickups and that me coming there to pick up my Amazon packages "is not an option." Not because it isn't but because it's an inconvenience. This location is specifically an option for Amazon as well as rent a center yet simply using the service as intended is apparently a huge issue for the staff. When I received my package, I noticed that it appeared to have been ripped open and then taped back together before it was given to me. This added to my concern about the overall experience. She made sure to tell me that the goal was to "sell couches" Secondly, I understand that verifying a customer's identity is part of the process, and I had no issue providing my ID as well as stating my name 5 times in which if you didn't know my name but continually told me you didn't have it and then your coworker took one look and handed me my package then something does not add up. My concern is the manner in which I was treated, the comments that were made, and the condition in which my package was returned to me. Customers should not be made to feel unwelcome for using a service your store offers. This experience completely eliminated any possibility of me doing business with this location in the future. I will not be returning, and I will not be recommending this store to anyone for any couches or anything ever based on how I was treated.
Disturbingly nasty people. The girl on the phone who sounded like African American was extremely extremely unpleasant to talk with. I spoke to her for 5 minutes and she kept laughing at my matter and making me feel stupid for calling. I called because I ordered a ps5 and apparently it was cancelled automatically. This was my very first time dealing with rent a center. NEVER AGAIN. This girl needs to be fired immediately she’s laughing at customers for making a purchase with them over the phone. I’m gonna call again and record it and send it to corporate.
Every single employee who has ever worked here in my time renting from them has been accommodating and wonderful. My most recent experience with Mia on the phone was a very pleasant one she fixed what I needed done and helped me in more ways than one. She was very patient and easy to talk to. All the employees here deserve a raise but a true thank you to Mia! She's awesome
Should be no stars, I entered the store at the end of the work day my clothes were all ripped and worn out. Maybe I did look a homeless person, as I was browsing the store and looking around in electronics I had an employee come up to me and told me I had to leave. Holding my credit card and my debit card and a pocket full of cash I left. As I was looking at one TV she said that was already rented how can it be rented if I'm looking right at it so I left.
