How rent-to-own works with no credit check
Rent-to-own is a way to take home furniture, appliances, and electronics today and pay for them over time without a credit check. A rent-to-own agreement is a lease with an option to buy, not a loan, so the store does not run a hard credit pull the way a credit card or financing application does. That is the whole reason no credit check is possible: because you can return the item and end the agreement at any time, the store is not extending you long-term credit.
Instead of a credit score, most rent-to-own stores check a few practical things: proof of income (a pay stub or bank deposits), a government-issued ID, a current address for delivery, and an active checking account or debit card to set up the recurring payment. Some stores also ask for references. Requirements vary by store and by state, so what one location asks for may differ slightly from another.
"No credit needed" means the store is not basing approval on your credit history or score. It does not mean there is no review at all, and it does not mean every applicant is automatically approved. Payments are typically due weekly or monthly for the length of the agreement, and most agreements include an early-purchase option that lowers the total cost if you pay off the item ahead of schedule.
Because it is a lease, a rent-to-own agreement can generally be returned or cancelled according to its written terms, ending the obligation to keep paying. Exact return windows, fees, and reinstatement rights are set by the individual store and by state law, so read the agreement and ask the store directly before you sign.

What to bring to the store
This is general guidance, not an approval. Approval decisions belong to each individual rent-to-own store. This checker does not perform a credit check, contact any store, or guarantee any outcome. Your answers are not saved or sent anywhere.

What a store typically checks.
These are the same four areas the checker above asks about, and they cover most of what a rent-to-own store wants to see before approving an agreement.
Income
Shows you can make the regular payment. A pay stub or bank deposit history usually works.
Identity
A government-issued photo ID confirms who you are before the store sets up an agreement.
Address
Stores need somewhere to deliver the item and follow up on service.
Payment method
An active checking account or debit card sets up the recurring weekly or monthly payment.
