Been a bit down on my luck and decided that since I started a new job I taught to be able to treat myself a bit... Started looking around at wahat specials were around and saw an ad for a Switch 2 bundled with Mario Kart from Arona, normally I wouldn't bother with a rent to own company because I already know how shady and subpar the product quality generally is... But my son was just coming back from a long hospital stay and his birthday was coming up soon and he loves Nintendo, so against my better judgement I called them up and got the ball rolling. When I arrived I was presented with a incomplete USED Switch 2, a mountain of paperwork, as well as the threat of police action should I fail to pay without "just cause" for an excessive duration. I was like I intend to pay, so no worries; I go through the paperwork booklet signing and initialing away... Then the total cost page come up and I'm blown away: nearly triple the retail value of the product in question- For the early pay off. Almost six times as much should I go through the whole process for the full duration. Being this far into the process already and likely behind some unrefundable fees, I grit my teeth an go ahead. Now, here's the kicker: the product was used, incomplete, and had no games. The clerk assured me that they factory data reset everything and when I go through the set up process the game from the bundle would be available for download from the switch store. I told her that as a veteran gamer that software DRM doesn't work that way and there will be no game available to download unless I choose to pay for it. She claimed that the games were tied to the device serial number and that it would be available. So I gave the uncommon benefit of the doubt to her so that I could hopefully go home and make my children a little happier for just a little while, maybe even have some family games of Mario Kart while we wait to get more games down the line. So I took the Switch 2, the dock, and the ONN brand 1.2 amp charger home to my wife and kids and start getting it set up. First the charger can't power the dock to display in the TV, Second there was no game available for download except the games I had previously purchased for the Original Switch, and Third the other "Accessories" that are supposed to be with it the joycon straps and the HDMI cable had to be appropriated from elsewhere, not cool, but doable I guess; at this point I didn't know that the charger they gave us couldn't power the dock because the console was 100% dead, probably intentionally so. This was strike 1, getting annoyed. So after charging for 45 minutes or so, it was at 25% sure that was kind of strange but whatever it's a switch 2 maybe it has a humongous battery. Then when I powered it up on the dock, and learned that the power supply was " inadequate to power the dock" and I would have to use the device handheld for setup, this was strike 2, getting upset. Next I angrily plowed through tutorials, suggestions, setup, and updates including recovering my disused Nintendo account. Then when I finally finish all that and have got down to 15% just doing set up not downloading or playing anything, clearly either the battery isn't that big or it's been so well used that it's already starting to degrade, either way I'm already unamused and I head on over to the e-shop to verify the claim that the game is bundled to the device serial#. (Which isn't a thing in gaming) I went to my games: all I have is what I bought for my wife and kids on the original switch, so just to dot my i's and cross my t's I go to each and every Mario Kart title in the E-shop; Lo and Behold I cannot download any of them without paying $60+ for something I was assured to get via device serial. This was strike 3, and I had to asked my wife to call because I was ready to go scorched earth on whomever picked up the phone. We were told that we could come pick up a brand new one the following Monday 6/1/26, however it has yet to be available at the time of writing this on 6/3/26. Exactly why I avoid this industry.

Typically I don't write reviews all that often but I will make an exception for these guys and Kaysie since she asked so nicely. However it is also because we have been in a jam for weeks and finally decided this would be a route we would go even though it is not our favorite option we just do not have any other good options at this time. So with that said Kaysie helped us all the way through and since we had previously bought something this time around has gone even more smooth since they remembered us. Kaysie went above and beyond to help us out and not only got us new units from another store but also has them coming the very next day! Now as long as everything goes well we will be back up and running finally and it seriously is a relief as things were piling up and not looking good. So with that said normally I caution away from the whole "rent to own" concept but with Arona they make the process easy enough, affordable, and just in general pleasant to deal with that if you're in a jam and you need to do it then do it with these folks. They'll help you out and make sure your happy from beginning to end. I know from my previous purchase as well that even if you run into a issue with your payments Kelly and the rest of the team will do everything they can to help you out, just don't be shady about it otherwise they can't help you as much. As long as your honest and genuine they will treat you the same. So if your here reading this review your already thinking of going and getting what you need so why don't you just head there now and if Kaysie is working she'll get you taken care of! Thanks again for your help we really appreciate it!

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Start date of contract was 8/10/24 started as monthly payments for a television and then had career complications so switched to weekly. Still 80 plus dollars a month being paid to them! Back in November I asked about my remaining balance and it was less than $400 COOL that’s fine. 4 months go by and it should be pretty much paid off. Nope! Somehow my remaining balance is sitting at almost $300. Like how did it go down only $100? And still trying to milk me for my money. They will probably try to say I was late. Yes I was late because I knew I was getting screwed over. Paid DOUBLE!! for a tv that would be worth less than $700 in Walmart! One conversation from management KELLY AND DRE! Paid my tv in full this morning due to ANDRES unprofessionalism. Glad to be done.

I have had an excellent experience with Arona Furniture in Grand Island over the past several years. The management team, especially Kelly and Dre, consistently demonstrate professionalism, kindness, and a genuine commitment to their customers. Casey and the entire staff, including the movers, are equally outstanding. Everyone I’ve worked with has been respectful, attentive, and always willing to help with whatever I need. What truly stands out is their understanding and flexibility during challenging situations. They are easy to communicate with, patient, and always willing to work with me when unexpected circumstances arise. That level of customer care is rare and deeply appreciated. I have furnished my entire home through them, and I have never regretted choosing Arona from the very beginning. Even after years of doing business with them, they continue to provide the same high level of service and support. If I ever need anything else for my home, I won’t hesitate to return. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality furniture and exceptional customer service.

When we used to rent through them they were beyond disrespectful. If you get one payment behind they are rude and ridiculous towards you. Andre that works here saw us at Walmart and almost knocked us over while hitting my shoulder with my baby in my arms. Ridiculous and uncalled for behavior. Unprofessional hope they go out of business.
The staff is ALWAYS kind, respectful, and extremely helpful! Huge shout out to Kelli AND Kacey for always helping me with any questions or concerns I may have. 10/10 would recommend. And I myself will definitely be a returning customer!!! Great job!!
