FRAUDULANT ---Mn statute states it's illegal to represent used for new insales .. Bought a washer dryer and a couch from Homechoice in shakopee last Friday. Asked and was guaranteed on the phone and in person at the store that everything would be brand new in the package several times and told absolutely . Homechoice shakopee renta center delivered me the couch off their sales floor and attempted to wrap its in saran wrap type wrap. The washer dryer was also wrapped in Saran Wrap type wrap and obviously is a repo or used equipment as washer and dryers don't come the way they looked after taking off the Saran wrap type material the next day as supposed to arrive in boxes. . There's were scratches and smudges that alerted me to check the equipment further. When attempting to talk to store mgr and the district manager they denied it all. Won't replace the equipment with new ones as they accused me of lying but I had a witness there at store and in delivery day. They took advantage of me due to being in a wheelchair. Very unprofessional people in their demeaned the way they dress talk and conduct business. Won't ever shop here again and they are trying to charge me about 4500.00 for it all and I could've bought it from a reputable store for less and in a box. Don't entertain this Homechoice these people they are fraudulent scam artists and you have no one to contact. The associates gave me a false email to write too.The corporate phone number is also fraudulent when I called it at least 60 times different days and hours and it just hangs up after the announcement. UPDATE- I visited the homechoice in shakopee today on 5-13-2026 to talk about replacing used appliances with the new (calmly ) and they yelled at me, werevery unprofessional, threatened me that they were coming to my house to take the equipment, and all while calling the police on me and had me throw out of the store . I am an older woman disabled with an amputated leg and rely on a wheelchair . I have the video of the situation.

I would give this place a 5, however.....because they MARK THE ACCOUNT CLOSED instead of marking them paid in full ON MY CREDIT REPORT... it doesn't help my credit.....AT ALL. I will still purchase because they have made some customer service changes for the better, now if they could just get their employees to smoke somewhere other than right by the front door....so that those of us that are allergic dont have to take benadryl whenever we go to check on an account or look for something new.....that would be AMAZING!!!! Otherwise but for a few minor things over the last 9 years...they have been good to me and my kids

My experience with HomeChoice has been great!!!!! I really love working with Josh and Stacey the most. The district manger Dave is also great!!!! He helped me solve an issue that I was having with my previous bed. I absolutely LOVE my new bed!!!!!! Thank you very much Dave, Stacey and Josh for all of your help!!!!!! 😃 I greatly appreciate everything that you have done for me!!!!!

So disappointed, been a customer for 5 years and even worked here. Sadly, for black Friday I wanted to get a table and was turned away. All because the GM Ryan put in my account that I can no longer have any new accounts. I have been on time; I have always paid my account. Just because the GM Ryan doesn't like me because the old store manager physically attacked me and previous staff members, along with scammed and lied to customers. He did not like that I brought that up to the HR attention. Now with the new store manager, she is amazing. Kelly is someone who can really improve this store. Unfortunately, with Ryan being the GM and targeting customers and going on a rampage they will keep losing customers. So many of the old customers have closed accounts and have been telling everyone how Ryan targeted them and even though being customers for years they finally had to leave because of him. Even my own husband who also been with home choice for years was targeted by Ryan. He is a very disruptive person. To be honest after he reads this review, I am sure there will be a call, or something marked on my account, or they will send someone out to get my stuff all because of review. They legally can't do that, but he doesn't care about the law. He is a bully. To customers, and staff.

I’m very disappointed. I had to start all over with new furniture and I thought that Homechoice would be the place to buy some of my furniture. I was very excited to get my sofa. One of the things I bought from them was a new sectional sofa. I bought it in November of 2019. My warranty was only good for 2 years. I haven’t even had my sofa for 3 years yet. And one of my cushions is completely torn across the back of one my cushions and the stuffing from my cushion is coming out. I also had my sofa in a pod (storage) for 8 months. So it wasn’t even used for that 8 months. My kids are adults and I live alone. I have taken very good care of my sofa. I thought my sofa would last me for many years and it should have. This definitely should not of happened when I haven’t had it for even 3 years yet. My cushions do not come off. So I have no idea how to repair this and I have no idea how much it will cost me to repair this. I should not have to pay for my sofa to be repaired yet. I would not recommend anyone to buy a sofa from Homechoice. Because obviously their sofas are not made very well. -1st photo: what my sofa looks like -2nd photo: the fabric is lumpy due to the rip -3rd photo: part of the cushion coming out. You can’t see it in the photo, but the entire back of that cushion is torn.

Great place to go. The staff is really nice & if they don't know an answer to your question they find a way to get you one. The products are amazing, we've gotten multiple electronics, an entertainment center and now a king size mattress from here. They setup our payments in a way that reasonably works for us & as advertised going thru them helps build or fix your credit (if that's something your interested in).
