What to Expect at This Store

Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Home Choice directly to confirm.

What to Bring

  • Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
  • Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
  • Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
  • Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers

How It Works

  1. 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
  2. 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
  3. 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
  4. 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance

Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:

Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

ATTENTION! IF YOU ARE HANDICAPPED OR DISABLED DO NOT COME HERE! THEY WILL PRAY ON YOU. They completely swayed me into buying what they wanted me to not what I wanted. When I called and complained very respectfully mind you they just blew me off. It took a week and multiple phone calls and texts before they just shot me down and decided to not stand behind there product. I bought a brand new $1,500.00 dollar recliner and after two weeks made a complaint that it was starting to basically fall apart. They were nice and friendly on the phone then turned around and said " it didn't leave the store like that so you must have abused it! We will not be replacing the item." They claimed to have talked to a district manager and corporate. This chair was a floor mode mind you. So in just 3 weeks you mean to tell me that I abused this "high quality chair" so bad In 3 weeks now since the complaint that the foot rests would shake the back is loose and the handle to recline was all broken by me In that short time? I don't think so. My mistake was trusting these people they knew I was disabled and they used that against me to get rid of product they knew was damaged and pawn it off on the "disabled" guy thinking they could get away with it. Maybe pull a fast one. Well I won't stand for it. I told them I won't make a single payment until this is taken care of. I came in told them my story and said I just need something to improve my quality of life as I'm disabled and spend a large part of my day in my chair. They were quick to find the most expensive unit in store all just to make there sale on the last day of the 'one penny down sale" these employees don't care about customers they just care about commission! If you are disabled or elderly stay away from this place they will pray on you! Now that I put the truth out there let's see how fast home choice corporate reaches out to hear the rest of the story. If I were a professional business I certainly wouldn't treat anyone the way they treated me but especially someone vulnerable. Tell me home choice do you support your employees praying and taking advantage of folks? Or did the management in this store make up a lie to cover there tracks and hope this would t blow up? Social media is a heck of a thing these days. Sure wouldnt want this getting to far out of hand before making it right might not look so good for business. All I want is my chair replaced the one I payed for with the extra 150.00 dollar warranty! Do better home choice. Make this right replace the faulty product you sold me....

Get a call on snow blower I am purchasing and the reverse neither on work so had to call store three times then get call stating the I'm pretty much stupid and that I didn't add oil which I do know how to read directions. They said oil was empty and their was gas where the oil went .common sense tell a person who can read if it says just oil that wheir oil goes and then gas is where gas goes.then get the snow blower told to me by another worker that it it like a vehicle that you take a loan on if it's in shop ur still paying the loan on it which is a lie I own 4 vehicles and they go in the shop my payment stopes till it's fixed and back in my care .so ur store is not like a car dealer ship so don't compare it to on yes some stuff sold their is like lemons and is crap.but to make some one who has a tbi and PTSD and make them like it's their fault and stupid not cool. And when yo buy stuff they charge you 225 dollars to deliver and I shouldnt have to help guy unload stuff I'm buying when it gets here or picked up when they have to fix it when they have two healthy guys that just didn't have surgery for their heart with I did first guy when delivered didn't care I had stents put in my heart and had me unload it with him .at least when I told the too guys that picked it up to get it fixed ask me to help load it I told them I had surgery I couldn't and the put it on truck with out a problem.but feel really disrespected and not to happy. you gonna charge me 225 dollar to deliver it then make me help to unload it but they get money .where mine. if that's the case but they tell me that their was no oil and gas where oil was I'm not that bran dead even though I did all of it in front of a camera that recorded me putting gas where it goes and oil where it go but yes I do have a tbi and PTSD .so thanks a lot for making a person with disability feel like crap and stupid.but ya not cool at all .....

Talk about not working with you and harassing you like they are part of the mob. Crappy customer service. We are already paying double the amount for things, the least they could do is not be dictators about it and learn how to work with the customer. Never again. All these reviews should be hints to them that they aren't a good store but oh well 🤷.

I am only giving one star because I have to to be able to leave this review. As we were in the store about to purchase a stove employees were making fun of customers and how funny it was that people purchase stuff from them and paying double price. To the customer that is waiting to purchase a four wheeler on a monthly payment you were the laugh about tonight you should back out. For one customers shouldn't know other customers business and to the employees working Jan 13th 2024 at 5pm all should be fired
