I had a very serious and stressful experience with Rent-A-Center that I feel other customers should be aware of before doing business with them. I had an active rental agreement for a refrigerator. The individuals who were temporarily staying at my residence were not on the contract and were not authorized to act on my behalf in any way. Despite this, communication about my account was repeatedly directed toward them regarding payments and pickup of the item. I specifically contacted Rent-A-Center in advance and clearly stated that no one would be present at the property during a certain timeframe and that any attempt to enter the property during that time would not be authorized. Despite this, representatives I dealt with (Christopher S. and Howard R.) did not respond to my prior written message and did not confirm my request. The following day, the refrigerator was removed from the property while I was not there, and I was later informed that it had been picked up through individuals who were not on the agreement. I also sent a follow-up message giving a 7-day notice requesting confirmation that my concerns would be addressed and that communication would be limited properly to the account holder. I never received any response. Additionally, I am concerned that during the removal of the refrigerator, damage may have occurred to my outside stairs, creating a potential safety hazard, although I cannot confirm this with video evidence. Overall, my experience included: • Communication being directed to people not on the rental agreement • Lack of response to written notices and requests • Removal of property despite prior written instructions regarding access to the home • No follow-up or acknowledgment of my formal concerns This situation caused a significant amount of stress and I would strongly caution others to be very careful and document everything thoroughly if they choose to do business with this company.
Delivery was on time and perfect but still missing the top bed light pieces, there’s couple scratches probably on their way to deliver
So a few months ago I rented and paid off at washing machine I went back a month or so later and I rented a couch so in the same fashion to pay it off. I had an issue that I lost my job my house and my father passed away all around the same time I explained this to this store and I say here take the $23 that's all I have right now next week I'll pay $20 and the following week I'll have enough hours for my new job to pay off the past due amount do you know they called me multiple times at least 20 about that $20 I then call customer service and they're trying to convince me not to call the district manager I want to speak with the district manager that runs Hagerstown because that kind of harassment is not acceptable I will now for now on take my business to Aaron's it felt really personal as if I owe them $20,000 I'm going to pay this couch off and I'll never do business with Rent-A-Center again
My husband and I went to Rent A Center in Hagerstown, we were just looking to see how their prices compared to other local furniture stores. Eddie was super helpful and there was a 50% off sale!! We paid cash for the furniture. The delivery arrived on time, with a notification call to let us know they were on the way. The delivery team did a fantastic job of bringing in our furniture and with the set up. THANK YOU EDDIE AND TEAM. We will be return customers and send our friends your way.
This location has some of the best employees Eddie Jackson and Howard have been the best. I have fell under some really difficult times and all three gentlemen have done over and beyond to help me in my time of difficulties. If you are looking for down to earth people and the best customer service this is the store to go to. Thanks guys for everything that you do.
New team is great and better than the last! Credit Manager is very polite and always works with people to help them keep the product. Sales Manager is very personable and has great mannerism. New store manager is good as well, always trying to give people best deals possible. Love this new team!
