We have been purchasing with RAC for the longest and it’s been nothing but a pleasure. They not only provided us with amazing quality products but amazing service as well. We currently had an issue with our washer after having it for awhile and Anthony the assistant manager was not only able to provide us with a brand new washer but also helped us tremendously on the pricing ! Fast service, sweet gentlemen who are always happy to help and quality products. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing with RAC !!

California law

What California law gives you before you sign

California regulates rent-to-own under California Karnette Rental-Purchase Act, and the rules are the same at every store in the state. Before you sign, the store has to put the cash price, the total cost to own the item, and the number of payments in front of you, so the real number is never buried in the fine print. Rent-to-own is a lease and not a loan, so there is no interest rate, and returning the item does not go on your credit.

This is a plain summary, not legal advice. Read your own agreement and confirm the terms with the store.

California Karnette Rental-Purchase Act Cal. Civ. Code §§ 1812.620 to 1812.649
Disclosure requirements Must disclose total number and amount of payments, total cost, cash price, whether the item is new or used, any additional mandatory charges...
