What you can rent here

Rent-A-Center is a national rent-to-own chain with 1,948 stores across all 50 states, reaching communities from Lawrence, Massachusetts and Kissimmee, Florida to Harlingen, Texas and Booneville, Mississippi. Stores carry furniture, appliances, electronics, computers, mattresses, gaming, and smartphones on flexible weekly or monthly lease agreements, and like most rent-to-own stores they typically do not require a traditional credit check. Rent-A-Center holds a 4-star Google rating across more than 152,000 reviews. Compare Rent-A-Center on VRTO alongside other rent-to-own stores near you, with hours, ratings, and what each carries.

I have had an account for YEARS!!! I have dealt with a lot of people. If you want THE BEST customer service and loyalty...call Frankie. No lie. I trust him 1000%. Yes, the prices are inflated. But, sometimes you just need a fresh start. Frankie gave me that. I am writing this as a customer who owes them $0.00. Also as a person who has provided customer service for over 25 years. Got to Frankie. Tell him that you need a fresh start.

I’m just going to leave these photos here as a reminder to RAC about their lawsuit settlement agreement in WA State Superior Court and for a reference for any other customers who are dealing with RAC’s illegal collection practices. RAC-you were sued by the Washington Attorney General in King County Superior Court and you agreed to a settlement that stated you would no longer harass customers about over due payments and that INCLUDED repeatedly knocking on customers doors. You are in violation of that agreement because you are still knocking on customers doors several times a day. I would advise you stop-before further legal action is taken. Everyone has ring door bells now and I’m sure the Attorney General wouldn’t be pleased to see you BANGING on a customers door for 27 minutes in one evening.

If I could give 0 I would! The worst experience I have ever had with a company! I started my leasing agreement for a dryer ours quit and with kids and sports had to find on asap and thought this place would be quick and easy. I went through the website and then got the app to continue. I signed the lease, paid first fee and was told a sales associate would call to finish. I didn't receive a call so within two days.I called them, spoke with Colby he was awesome took all my other info and we finished up and set the delivery date which I got a text to confirm. Delivery date comes and time passes for the time slot I was given and I call to see what's going on. This is where the nightmare begins I am transferred to Frankie who tells me there is no file on me and I will have to resend all documents and he will ho from there! I ask him what happened to my documents and the whole phone call from the 10th he didn't know and said Colby screwed up long story short this guy wasn't happy with the documents I resent and talked circles around me just wanted to make me feel like a worthless liar! I asked for his managers name he would not give it to me said he would call and have them call me I said I just wanted a refund and asked what happens to all that sensitive info I sent you he says it's shredded I said we'll they are digital oh well I delete them he says! I finally said sir this feel sketchy and i dont want to rent from you guys anymore and hung the phone up! Later that day the store manger Colette calls me while I am in the car with my daughter put on speaker cause I am driving and she strait up dismisses me and is aggressive she is going on what Frankie told her and dis not care what I had to say she started yelling at me I was in tears told her I have witness and documents from this transaction and will be reporting then to the attorney General office and hung up! Well Franki call just as I am pulling up to the house and said his manager said we can't do the rental I said I no longer want to just refund my money he then told me I could only get it back by coming to the store I paid with my card I have the receipt that makes no sense he said we'll it's the only way!! Why would I want to go deal with them again after all this no that place does not practice good business and am scared to come down deal with you guys again after being screamed at I will figure out my options and hung up that's the last I've heard from them 4 days ago. If you you choose to do business with this location be very careful I truly felt I was being scammed it's was just weird! Not saying all locations are like that but this one definitely sketch.

I’m really bummed that this place is under new management. I’ve been with RAC for years. I have paid off many accounts and have seen alot of staff come and go. But this new management is just awful. The previous manager would work with you if you were a few days late. He’d just change the due date or let you pay late. No big deal. He knew I’d pay since I had been with them for years and have paid off several accounts. It was the main reason I stayed with RAC. Because they were flexible and always work with you. They were nice, respectful and I enjoyed my interactions with them. That’s since changed. The new manager has brought with him a new way of doing things. Now if you are a few days late they come banging on your door like the police. They leave aggressive threatening voicemails and basically act like you’re a criminal even though you’ve been their loyal customer for years. This is the wrong way to do things. This is how you lose customers. It’s not worth the trouble if I have to deal with these sorts of things and RAC is not the only option out there. I could understand if maybe I was a new customer but to act this aggressively with a customer you’ve had for years who has paid off probably a dozen accounts? It’s not necessary. You can obviously see by this point that I’m going to pay. My advice is to stop running off your long time customers. We are your bread and butter. If you notice someone is late on their payment, take a look at their account. If they’ve been your customer for many years and have always paid off their accounts-leave them alone. They’ll pay. I can see by the recent reviews below that your other customers are having problems with new management as well. I’m at the point where I’m pretty close to just telling them to come get their stuff. I’m not attached to it and it’s not worth the headache.
