Inside Rent-A-Center

What you can rent here

Rent-A-Center is a national rent-to-own chain with 1,948 stores across all 50 states, reaching communities from Lawrence, Massachusetts and Kissimmee, Florida to Harlingen, Texas and Booneville, Mississippi. Launched in 1973 in Wichita, Kansas, it was the first national chain to scale the rent-to-own model, building standardized showrooms stocked with new, name-brand merchandise. Stores carry furniture, appliances, electronics, computers, mattresses, gaming, and smartphones on flexible weekly or monthly lease agreements, and like most rent-to-own stores they typically do not require a traditional credit check. Rent-A-Center holds a 4-star Google rating across more than 152,000 reviews. Compare Rent-A-Center on VRTO alongside other rent-to-own stores near you, with hours, ratings, and what each carries.

Was professional in the beginning and we were doing good until recently things happened out or our control got him late on payments. His phone was off, could have called me because I was present to give them my number as well and the letter came almost too late for me to do anything about it. I was not home and I have let them know in the pass I'm the head of household and I believe that they had to have proof of that through me even if the merchandise was not in my name. I have let the store manager know going forward if I'm not present if I ever rent or buy from them again they are not allowed and no one else has authority to let anyone in if I'm away. I don't care about the policy with any body letting them in they have the right to. Bull. And unprofessional even if someone didn't let them in the last time. I will make it clear that they need to up their policy and make sure the owner or head of household is home to give them permission to enter. Because technically they were trespassing without their "locksmith" or a cop present. And I really don't care if it was in someone else's name. But they have their merchandise back will feel bad whoever else buys it because that mattress is dirty because I have a baby and had accidents on it. And now she has to lay in the floor. Heartless greedy people. Edit: I did a lot of research and they just got their butts in a lot of trouble because they can't use anyone's permission to enter the home for their merchandise. Late payments doesn't constitutes to enter, haveing a court date set does not constitutes that either, and most certainly where I did not give them permission and on top of that me not being home is a violation of my privacy and property. They better look stuff up before they "do their" job. I will be filing a police report. Since know I know they essentially broke the law. Double edit: I just learned that on the letter stating we had until the 10th and came not a day early but a week early to take it back. And I can't do the report now but I have talked to police and can still do it Monday. It is considered theft

A wider available selection would've been nice. I wanted to trade out both of my items for available items online and in other stores but was unable to accomplish this goal on common bunkbeds and a sectional.

Unbelievably unorganized. Texted me a day and time and never showed. Got some excuse how someone must have accidentally hit a date in the computer. Spent an hour ordering on line just to be told I had 10 more things to do. I would not recommend to my worse enemy.

The power was out, but the staff carried on the best they could. I was able to get a recliner, better than the one I originally wanted. All in the dark!!
