What you can rent here

Rent-A-Center is a national rent-to-own chain with 1,948 stores across all 50 states, reaching communities from Lawrence, Massachusetts and Kissimmee, Florida to Harlingen, Texas and Booneville, Mississippi. Launched in 1973 in Wichita, Kansas, it was the first national chain to scale the rent-to-own model, building standardized showrooms stocked with new, name-brand merchandise. Stores carry furniture, appliances, electronics, computers, mattresses, gaming, and smartphones on flexible weekly or monthly lease agreements, and like most rent-to-own stores they typically do not require a traditional credit check. Rent-A-Center holds a 4-star Google rating across more than 152,000 reviews. Compare Rent-A-Center on VRTO alongside other rent-to-own stores near you, with hours, ratings, and what each carries.

DO NOT RENT HERE. I had furniture picked up on June 19th. The pickup person forged my signature on the pick up document. So I called to make sure I would not be liable for any more charges. They assured me I wouldn't be. Well lo and behold I was charged this morning june 20th. They are claiming that someone else signing my name isnt forgery. And that the charge isnt theft at this point. West Jordan PD had a different opinion. This isnt the first issue ive had with them over the years but by far the worst.

Attempted to purchase a PS5 pro after being approved for a lease online. After sending verifying my identity, my income, and my residency a 2nd time I was told the item was being special ordered with a 2 week delivery window. My payment information was taken, and a contract signed by both parties. After 2 weeks with no contact I called back in to find the manager had been fired for “lying to numerous customers.” Was told they would place my order again. It was ordered. I was told I’d receive an estimated date and never got one but assumed 2 weeks. I called back near 2 weeks and was told “I was actually going to call you today, it will be here by 2pm.” I’ll send the contract right over. Contract never came. I contacted the store again and was told I needed to reverify all of my information because it had been longer than a month since my previous application. I asked if my previous verification paperwork was there so I didn’t need to resubmit anything and was told everything was good except my residency. During this phone call I was told I no longer qualified for electronics. No further info had been submitted, no one had reassessed anything, it was as if I just magically no longer qualified for the product I had already signed a contract for a month previously and had only just spoken to the NEW management about 2 weeks earlier. Now if you’re considering maybe I had some negative impact on my credit- I actually increased my credit in the last 30 days by 40 points. So maybe because I was more likely to pay of their product they no longer wanted to sell it to me? I can’t imagine what the change might have been. Either way, I won’t be making any purchases here. Management can’t be trusted obviously. Their system, process, or contracts cannot be trusted. Not to mention they don’t report as a positive revolving loan anyways so just a waste of time and money with a side of giving away a ton of personal information. Just thought I’d warn others of this highly unprofessional way of handling business before you go here to sign up to pay (atleast) 150% of a products value and get jerked around and sign contracts that the company doesn’t intend to maintain on their own side.

Got an item for 250% retail value. That's the cost of renting to own though.... However, even if you make payments for a year straight they do not care if you are a minute late, they will come take your stuff and charge you a fee. It says on the site to contact them if you think you'll be late so they can help you. I believe its actually so they can schedule a truck ahead to come repo your items. Then they'll tell you to come get it yourself if you pay the one late payment (WITH FEE). They are super nice initially though when they want you to buy stuff. Sooo theres that! :D

Go to any rent a center store besides this one!!!!!! The manager Ashley is so helpful and nice WHEN YOU WANNA BUY SOMETHING. The second you need help, she is a totally different person. Unprofessional and rude and needs to learn what her own policies are. I was completely shocked with her manners. We ended up getting rid of our account within this store and went to another location instead and have had NO issues with the manager like we had in Midvale. The other managers seem to understand their policy and what their own website states so I’m not sure what her problem is. Go somewhere else.

the furniture is nice , the delivery guys were good , but the store manager Ashley is the reason im giving five stars. There was a mishap and miscommunication, in regards to the whole thing and the store manager Ashley took the time to call me from home while sick with the flu and she made it all work out perfect I really appreciated that she went above and beyond for her customer . That’s the kind of customer care that exceeds expectation thanks Ashley
