Rent-A-Center

On 4/16/26 an older white male with tattoos on his arms came knocking on my door like the police, real loud. I answered the ring doorbell and he advised who he was trying to find. After I told him nobody by that name lived here, he stood on my porch looking dumbfounded. I then asked him if I can help him with anything else, he then again said the same name and said he was looking for them. I again stated that person doesn’t live here and asked him to remove the papers he placed in my door and to leave. I ended up picking up the papers and see he was from the Tomball location. He stated he was just doing his job and threw the papers on the ground in front of my door. I told him ok. By this time I’ve stated multiple times that person didn’t live here and told him to leave before I called the police for trespassing. He raised his hands and stated “O, not the police.” I gave him a few explicit words, he cursed back and then he left in his red little rent a center box truck. I called this store the same day and told this story to a male who picked up the phone and alleged he was the manager and this male didn’t seem too interested in the story by the way he came off over the phone. Doesn’t surprise me with all of these negative reviews on here. Therefore, I reached out to corporate because this guy seems like he is just an inch or two away from having a major breakdown/issues and nobody needs to get hurt over that.

As the safety coordinator for all of Houston i would avoid this branch amd Julio specifically. Never in my life have I dealt with someone so threatening and unprofessional after making payment arrangements earlier today with the nicest young lady. Avoid this Branch this company and specifically Julio.

Julio needs to be let go, threats are unacceptable plain and simple/ i was super awesome with yall until i made arrangements for payment and then had this weasel threaten me:: all is recently recorded for the authorities as well: Loved this company until i made payment arrangements then threatened later by this weasel: Avoid doing buying business here at all costs they do not keep their word they do not honor verbal commitments: Avoid

We ordered a couch! Got everything settled and was told we would have our couch Thursday! Never came no big deal right? Well when we called the “manager” he was EXTREMELY rude and disgusting towards my husband!!!! All he had to do was politely say I’m sorry for the confusion sir.. no he cancled our order, screamed at my husband and hung up!! Don’t even bother with them!!!

Do not deal with this location. When they have an employee make a mistake and tell you the wrong delivery date and time and you take off work to be there then call to talk to the manager about he immediately blows up on his customer and starts yelling at me and then just canceled my order. Worst customer service and most disrespectful manger or employee i have ever dealt with.

I’ve had really good customer service with them and I’ve bought a lot of things from them. It’s been in the Corpus Christi store the last 3 years. But I have to say, the Tomball location was really good! And Julio was excellent to work with. Thank you! -Randall
