The location in mt pleasant will hear from my lawyer! I spoke with the manager Mark in the mt pleasant office about not letting my mom get anything else from them unless they go thru me because my mom has dementia, that is the reason I am over all of her affairs. He told me that he would put a note on her account for someone to call me if she tries to get something else, but Mark himself the supervisor did it Anyways today! I spoke with him and he said oh I am so sry I told him I didn't want to hear it. He should have called me first plus he didn't even put it in the notes like he told me! He admitted that he was the one that sold it to her and the other worker confirmed it too! That is elderly abuse, and I'm going to do something about it asap

Good fast easy. Overall unbeatable
I ordered an iPad online through Rent-a-Center from an ad on Facebook. They were having a $0 down promotion, so I thought that I would take advantage of the deal. I received an email that I would hear from my local store about the iPad. A few days go by. Nothing. Then I receive an email that I am about to have to make my first payment. On an iPad that I haven’t received or heard anything about. I called the store and they said that it “sometimes takes up to two weeks for online orders to come in”. Yet the payment was expected. “Oh we’ll waive your first payment.” Asks that I call back in a week. I called back and I get a different representative. “Oh, we’ve been trying to call you for days.” No missed calls. No voicemails. No texts. Only emails have been reminding me of my first payment (still no iPad) and general RAC promotions. Right. You’ve been trying to call me. “Oh well, we can find another option for you and call you back.” Fine. Again, no calls. By this point, I am done. So I call RAC again to cancel my order. “Oh, we were just about to go get it.” I explain that I decided to go a different route and to cancel my account. “Oh well we took off the auto pay.” No. Cancel my account entirely. They say that they will and I should receive a text or email that it has been done so. It doesn’t happen - I don’t receive anything. I have given them a few days. I get ANOTHER email explaining that I can ‘exchange my item’. What item? The item that I never got? So I check my account to see if I was charged. Sure enough, there’s a charge. I called this RAC to ask why hasn’t my account been cancelled and why am I still being charged? “Oh, that’s just the insurance.” On an iPad that I NEVER received. Steer clear from this Rent-a-Center. Go to a different one somewhere else. I am not saying that RAC is bad as a company, but this specific location is obviously mercenary in their practices.

I've been doing business with Rent-A-Center for at least the last 10 years. I have never once had a problem. Mark has always taken very good care of us.

Ive been doing business with them for about 6 months. I've had such a positive experience. When something broke.. the next day I had a replacement. I had an emergency and couldn't pay one week.. no issue. Catch it up next week. These are good wholesome people running this place.
