Please get a new manager in here. One of the WORST experiences I’ve ever dealt with. My husband made an order. Per their website, it states “first week for $10”. It does not say that is strictly just to hold the item. We paid it, we got a call from an employee to schedule delivery. During this call nothing was said about our docs not being approved or that we had to make another payment before we could schedule delivery. So basically paying for two weeks before even receiving the items? Since it’s suppose to be $10 for the first week? The employee let my husband know the manager had to approve everything but she was gone for the day so to call the next day and they get us scheduled. He let them know he works on highways annd was not able to but asked if I, his wife, could call to schedule. He was told no problem. Awesome. So next day comes and I call. That is when I am told we have to pay the second week before we can schedule. Obviously I’m confused bc we did that to make the order. He puts me on the phone with the manager who immediately catches an attitude. That’s when she also said they do not accept insurance cards as proof of address. Even though that was on their list as approved items. And that the $10 for the first week was just to hold the item. I explain that no one told us that in their call the day prior and how that was frustrating that was and it was nothing but hostility. We cancelled the order and called the Gainesville location where we recieved AMAZING customer service and was let know insurance cards ARE in fact an approved document. The $10 is all we had to pay to get scheduled. And now have an order with them. RAC, please get a new manager in your Denton location. Her customer service skills need serious work and she’s probably why your store sales are lacking.

Manager is extremely rude! I came in for mattress and wanted 2 rooms of furniture! Money on hand and could have paid cash. You unlocked the door for me to come in but when I asked questions, the manger gave ugly attitude and like oh no we closed. We aren’t doing anything else!! The salesman was great. This is the second time she has done that. It makes me think because I was black that I didn’t have money when in fact I came to make a big sale! I’ll never deal with this particular Rent A Center again. The manager needs a 1on 1 manager training in customer service! I only gave 1 star for the staff!

Avoid the Rent-A-Center on University Dr in Denton at all costs. The manager there is pure trash and treats people like garbage. She is completely classless and told me to my face that I wasn't a customer. But what makes this place a complete joke is the customer service team. Instead of doing the right thing and fixing the problem, they actually tried to defend her and make excuses for her disrespectful attitude. ​It's clear nobody in this store has ever taken a people skills class in their life. The service is straight garbage from the top down, and they have zero accountability. I will never recommend this business to anyone. Save your sanity and go literally anywhere else.

The lady at the front desk was extremely rude and not helpful at all. She kept making excuses on to why we couldn’t make an application even though I had all my paperwork and everything verified I was already approved at Arron’s but I heard rent a center was good but it’s not true at all the rent a center in Denton were rude and lazy and they didn’t even help the delivery guy open the door we had too because they were too busy laughing at whatever was funny. THE HISPANIC LADY WAS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL my dad was a gm for buddy’s and he knows what’s right and she didn’t do anything right at all. GO ARRONS !!!

One of the stores in denton texas they have very poor customer service you call them to let them know you can not make your first payment and schedule a pickup. You call them the day the payment is due they says they can not pick up until a schedule day and then schedule you for that schedule day then the very next day the same person that schedule the pickup calls you and tells you they have to come and pickup now. Knowing that we are not going to be home and that they schedule a pickup for that reason then wants to threaten you and we are loyalty customers we have almost furnished our apartment from rent a center and never have had an issues before until we moved to texas

The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the store and the things that we wanted the store was very clean

This Rent A Center is in the best shape it's been in for over 10 years. Store is clean, well ran, professional management team, and they actually care!

So I decided to try again with them as they gave me a coupon for 2 weeks free on an initial payment. Coupon doesn’t say for non electronic items. Online it lets me apply it but they keep wanted a payment in order to pick it up? The initial payment means the first payment? Then I said ok I’ll use the other coupon yall gave me instead 10$ pays the first week she said I’m not supposed to honor that either. THEN WHY DO YALL OFFER THE SHIT. I paid of my mattress , god a Xbox pre owned it was dirty and still logged into the old owners stuff. I was told it would be discounted for being used I don’t see how because I was basically paying for 2 brand new Xbox’s with the price. I had a pay day hiccup so I told them I’d return because they never wanna work with you on missed payments Sonya would but these new people don’t care. Told them I work they could pick up said they would be here at 1 and no one showed it’s 5pm now why hound me for being a few days late n needing to return but then they don’t show up so what’s the point Update I called like the asked n basically was like sorry not sorry it’s policy. DONT DO BUISNESS HERE.
