What to Expect at This Store
Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Buddy's Home Furnishings directly to confirm.
What to Bring
- Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
- Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
- Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
- Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers
How It Works
- 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
- 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
- 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
- 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance
Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:
Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

Mgr Mr Prentis was very helpful in answering all ? And getting me all set up looking forward to doing business with Buddy’s
The entire team is exceptionally accomplished, particularly the store manager, Marcus. He has assisted me with my purchases and is a highly respected team leader. Furthermore, he has the most competent staff.
if i could give zero stars, i would! i wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. i was supposed to have my washer/dryer delivered and all i kept getting was excuses and excuses. i asked to have them cancel the thing and give me my refund and i still haven’t received it. just horrible management and employees.
I bought a dining room table and a rug. I was having them delivered to my house. At first I was going to finance them but they wanted all kinds of stuff verified first. So I just paid cash for what I was buying. I had everything delivered to my house. When they showed up the guys said they didn’t know what rug I bought and they had forgot to bring it. I said no problem just bring it back. Several hours go by and I finally call the store and the manager answered. I tell him what’s going on and he tells me that he only gave me the rug if I had financed the table. I said no you gave me a price for both and that’s what I paid. He wanted to argue the whole thing and insisted that he was right. I told him that was bs and hung up. Prior to that they wanted me to pay cash instead of using my card to pay for everything with no receipt. I told them I only have my card and I definitely want a receipt for it. They gave me a receipt for the amount I paid and not what I was paying for. Don’t do business with these crooks. They just want to pocket your cash and leave you with nothing.
The workers at this store are the definition of what's going wrong in this world. A worker( manager) from this store tried to black mail my husband for his phone back. My husband's phone fell out of his backpack( outside of the store) As soon as he realized it was missing he went to a gas station and used someone's phone to call it. A woman picked up and said she would give it back to him for $100 ( thiw is witthin5min of him losing it). She said she worked at Buddy's furniture and he could meet her there. When he got there he called the phone and it began to ring in the managers pocket. He asked if he could have his phone, She again said for the $100! He threatened to call the cops and she finally gave it back to him. Do not trust them with your money. I saw other reviews about them pulling out people's money without permission.
