What to Expect at This Store

Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Aaron's directly to confirm.

What to Bring

  • Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
  • Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
  • Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
  • Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers

How It Works

  1. 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
  2. 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
  3. 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
  4. 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance

Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:

Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

I have only returned one item to ARRONS. Just because we decided we didn't want it anymore. Leaven me with 1400$ leasing power, however I have bought a couch in fact, I bought two couches formally. You know what else, I bought a PlayStation 5, I've bought and paid in full for two sets of , washer and dryers, I bought a stove. I owe them nothing in fact they owe me $1,400 in leasing power, that I've made payments towards to go towards something else. I have been at the Dayton TN location, and ATHENS. A few weeks ago I started getting harassed by them because I paid off my final purchase there they said they would give me a couch take off how much payments I made and hope the girl up with a discount for being such a loyal customer. Grateful for the opportunity to not waste my money, I ordered a couch 3 weeks ago. We made the choice to upgrade our couch because of my mom, I ordered this couch because it has a pull out bed in it for my mother to sleep in when she stays with me. I got a call this morning after my couch was gone and everything else saying not only did they order the wrong thing, they didn't even listen to what I told them I wanted and needed. Now they have to order it and it's going to be 6 to 9 weeks before I get it. The manager absolutely acted like he did nothing wrong, ASKED ME WHY I GOT RID OF MY COUCH BEFORE WE SET A DATE DESPITE THEM SAYING 2/3 WEEKS 3 WEEKS AGO, and it's my fault. He was rude and disrespectful his name is Andy and I am completely and utterly appalled at the disrespect this company has given me after all I have given for them. I have supported them, I have bragged on them, I have sent people there, And they still disrespect me the way they do and I am so over it. I asked the manager to give me his manager and he laughed and was like it'll be here in 6 to 9 weeks and basically just got off the phone with me and told me to have a great day very disrespectfully. I am so done. AARONS YOUR COMPANY LOOKS AWFUL BECAUSE OF THE EMPLOYEES YOU CHOOSE!

Aaron's can have the one star I'm forced to leave, buuut.... They can also have this: My 2yo Samsung dryer is displaying that 3C error code. For the 3rd time this year. The first time, in May, Aaron's took it in for repairs/maintenance, whatever to solve the problem. It was returned in July maybe? It was just before it was paid off, worked for two weeks and BAM! 3C error was back again. So Aaron's swapped it out for another maintenance trip. Offered me a used dryer to keep instead of the faulty POS that was supposed to be fixed, I refused because I wanted the dryer that was bought for my anniversary AND that had been new when we got it, not a used dryer that was valued below what we had already spent on this one. It was returned a few weeks later, problem "solved." Fast forward to last week, there's that darned 3C again! Ugh.... So I called Aaron's, granted it's payed off, but they didn't fix it like they reported. I spoke with Victoria and Misty, was supposed to receive a return call. Didn't. Called Samsung the next day, and the representative was very helpful, even informed me that there was a report submitted in May, 2024 about my dryer. (I have no idea why it took until at least July for them to return it when Aaron's had it "fixed" in May) She noted that the report included that Aaron's had "replaced" a part, yet I was told, by Aaron's, that nothing had been replaced since the 3C error didn't pop up for them while they had it in May, Aaron's had only removed "foreign debris" like lint. Now? Even after it's unplugged for 12+ hours (Samsung can confirm as the representative was viewing me plugging it in over a live video call), it still displays 3C, won't shut off unless the door is open or it's completely unplugged, and powering it off via the control panel does nothing to keep it from dysfunctionally operating. So a fire/safety hazard, yay.... Now, I have a $2k paperweight. Thanks, Aaron's, for taking our hard-earned money in exchange for a useless appliance. BBB reviews warned me. Google reviews warned me. But I was stupid. You (Aaron's), along with every company using this same scam... Oops, I meant "business model", will eventually lose enough of your customer base that you'll actually go out of business. But hey, go ahead and steal, oops I meant scam, all the customers you can while you can. Isn't that the new integrity of every company now? Oops, I misspelled scam...

First off, ordered a tv and ps5 and was told i could put my down payment when it was delivered so i could check the product. Took time off work and sold my old tv, they canceled the order then lied to management and said they “tried” to contact me however i was never contacted. Re did my app and my tv was scheduled to be delivered on a Monday, Monday rolls around “they just dont know how” i was taken off the delivery list. Wednesday rolls around they deliver the tv with no remote. I called and said something and they “was on a delivery” uh yeah mine… they come up with cheesy lies and they have done this on purpose because i made the Initial complaint. Its highly unprofessional and childish taking out your personal problem on a paying customers day. So far ive missed 2 days of work to receive this were over a month from my initial app approval. When i try and call i get passed around from one person to the other until i simply get hung up on. I will Never do business with them again, rent a center from here on out.
