I really haven’t had any bad experiences yet until I called today to get a price on something, who ever answered the phone was extremely rude and when I tried telling the worker that I wasn’t wanting to get a laptop today he got extremely mad and hung up the phone in the middle of the conversation, bad customer service that makes me think twice about doing business with this store again

I knew Rent a Center was basically way over paying for an item to basically rent to own. I get that part of their “business model “, but they are a scam also. They want you to put money down online and require you to go into the store. Not sure why, when you can finance a house online, but that is what they claim. So you put your money down and then go in and suddenly it is twice what you are quoted each month and then if you don’t take it you lose the deposit, so they get something either way. Also the one you put money on was “cash and carry”, not in the store and $3000. Why on earth would anyone pay $3000 for a unit that they don’t even deliver or finance when you can get a brand new one for that price installed, and they will haul away your old ones. This whole business is a joke.

Quite literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I mean, hands down the worst!!!! I have one payment left on my agreement (60 bucks). I am one payment behind. So, I communicated with that store on Danforth in Edmond, Oklahoma, that my mother passed away.. It was sudden and unexpected.. I explained that I needed to make funeral arrangements, travel arrangements, and arrangements for my dog, to please allow me to make that payment on Friday. I asked respectfully not to contact me as I already have a lot on my plate. He said ok, he'll make a note in my account, and we ended the conversation. The very next day, Sunday I received a text message from that store. and then today, Monday, I received another phone call asking me where that $60 is at.. I asked, no, I begged for compassion.. One simple request please hold off on the calls.... You will get zero compassion, empathy, or even kindness from the people they have at this store location!! I'm embarrassed for you..

When we ordered online, we had to wait a few weeks for it to come in & be delivered- was a very simple easy process. Jose the store manager also was very kind and always works with us when it’s needed! Great customer service.
