Deeply Disappointed with Unprofessional Conduct and Lack of Transparency As long-standing, reliable customers of Rent-A-Center in Reidsville, NC, we are extremely disappointed with the recent decline in professionalism and customer care. Despite consistently making timely payments and honoring our end of the agreement, we were recently subjected to an unexpected and unjustified charge for an optional add-on feature—a service that is not mandatory, yet we were told we must pay for it regardless. When we inquired about the charge and requested clarification, the response from the staff was unacceptably rude and dismissive. Rather than addressing our concerns with courtesy or offering any meaningful explanation, we were abruptly told to return the merchandise if we did not agree with the charge. This kind of treatment is not only unprofessional but also deeply disrespectful, especially toward customers who makes their payments. We expect transparency, honesty, and respect—not a dismissive attitude and vague justifications like “we told you about it.” Based on this experience, we are seriously reconsidering any future business with this location. Rent-A-Center must improve its customer service standards and ensure that all additional charges are clearly explained and truly optional—not forced upon customers without consent.

The employees are great very friendly it was great talking to everyone. The store was a welcoming environment, I would be sure to come back again and also tell other people to check out the store also.

We spend $90 per month to rent a washer and dryer from this place. We call to arrange for them to move it to our new house and the young lady tells us that since we are moving to a different city that it would take two weeks for them to deliver it. To avoid that laundry pile up, we decided to move the appliances on our own. When we get to the new place, the dryer connection will not fit our laundry room. So we reach out to the local office about switching the chord. Now, a week after the move, we are learning that we followed the wrong instructions from the new store and that transferring our account will require a new application for the merchandise that is literally already in our home. I asked how long that process would take and Dwight said that they would have to contact our employer, landlord, etc. all over again. Aside from the huge inconvenience, this is the most inconsiderate process that I have ever encountered. They made it clear that they had no interested in helping with the move and then gave us the appropriate steps to complete the process a week later. I urge the owner to please incorporate transparency and honesty into your business ethics. The lacking customer service and communication have been a huge inconvenience.
