I don’t understand these negative reviews at this place is receiving Everyone I’ve ever dealt with there has been fantastic tentative knowledge helpful went out of the way to make sure that my knees were me I’m 64. I’ve been living on my own since I was 14 responsible for my own furniture and decor. And doing business with Rent-A-Center, probably since their creation The people at the one in Cohoes are fantastic. I could not say enough good about them. The product is all corporate choices So the staffing has nothing to deal with that But they shop around they find me the best deal they work it into the contract. They show me all my alternatives and walk me through everything I need to know. Delivery people were great. They set everything up. They did what they had to do. They’re polite. They are nice. They’re knowledgeable. I was happy to welcome them into my home.
Welp, guess I'll add another negative review to their already horrible rating. Was excited to see another Amazon drop off location. They would not accept my return stating I'm required to have the original box it came in. Showed the woman with the attitude the app with the QR code and instructions that stated "NO BOX REQUIRED" . I don't know if she was just new and didn't have a clue or they just didn't want to deal with the return. Will probably just go back to using Amazon locker. At least you don't have to deal with idiots- but then again it's at a store that rents furniture. To be expected a suppose.
Waited a whole week for my order for them to cancel. Then they had an attitude. The lady at the front Kim and the manager. The place is a ripoff and will never do any business with them. Spend your money with people who appreciate your money.
Do not go to rent a center in Cohoes. Management has changed so many times you do not know who your talking to. I bought a livingroom set from them and never had an issue. The staff were all professional and nice. I have now purchased a table. It came with scratches on it. The than manager Calab took $400 off my purchase price. I was told by the manager Calab I owned $950 now. Calab has since left. There is new management now. I have $250 left to pay on my table and now, I am told I own $1093. No I do not. When the new management took over I spoke with people 5 times about the agreement. New management thought I owed full price. Than they say ok I see this in the computer that there was sn agreement for $950. Now all the sudden I told I made the agreement with Calab need them. Even though they said they see it in the computer, Calabs agreement. The manager now claim he never spoke with me before. I will NEVER use Rent A Center again. I have used the company a couple of times and ALWAYS pay. The manager was trying to give me the run around and show me what I WAS PREVIOUSLY supposed To pay. NOPE! The agreement was $950 and I owe.$250 more. Thats it!!!! BEWARE
This surprises me to write. I have been getting stuff from RAC since 2018. I ALWAYS pay off 6 months same as cash they would beg me to rent stuff but when I actually need something the guy trying to help me was Incompetent and said he can't find the product and asked me to come back tomorrow morning... what kind of business is that and I just had a house fire and moved to another apartment I needed a couch to sleep on I had nothing but the clothes on my back and he said I couldn't pick it up. That must of changed because I've done it before the old manager knew I was a great customer this guy didn't even acknowledge I never ever missed a payment in any of my contracts.
Rent a center is horrible! Called to be taken off the mailing list and was told it’s corporate! Well if that’s the case then why is the local store not the city we live in? No it’s set for 101 Saratoga street cohoes!
